Ostruppen are not OP they simply allow Ostheer do something where not designed to do.
They allow them cap and hold ground until they can tech and get more powerful unit out.
That is why the become meta after the tech was changes and while the unit itself did not receive any buffs.

Imagine soviet would have 3 min schock and 4 min flak and then we can talk about what the problem with osttruppen is.
Well there is little reason to imagine there was a patch where shock and guards where CP1 and they where completely broken.

if u mean wht use osttruppen and go tech to 3min PG ,so does soviet can use conscript to go tech to T70 and the wht only have to tie3 go panzer IV to counter.

ostruppen is OP because OST is in the faction with the best teamweapons ingame and early nondoc elites and light vehicle... when you pair that with cheap easy to reinforce infantry it starts to become a problem... now imagine if the soviets had the MG42 granatenwerfer pgren and 222...

you have superior teamweapons an early nondoc elite and an earlier light vehicle than the soviets do while ostruppen trade with regular conscripts pretty efficiently... use it...
also do know that the ostheer panzer 4 actually takes less fuel to rush than the T-34-76 fyi...
and finally yes ostheer is superior to SOV atm... SOVs horrible automatch and tourney performance proves it...

You might want to check your stats because Soviet did not horribly in Chaos grieg tournament.
They had around 54% win rate, compared to OKW 38% win rate.
Even if they did horribly it would be an indication and not proof.

IF you only play teamgames, you won't understand why Osttruppen are so good.
It's all about timings, map control and resources on 1v1.
Go into the game and check how much resources are spent in an Osttruppen build with light vehicle play vs Soviets trying to survive till a T70.
You need to compare both fuel + mp cost.
Soviets get the least MP + starting unit value out of all factions while OH is the opposite.
OH: BP1 + T2 + Medic bunker
SU: T2 + AT nades + Medics + T3
Because Soviets can't field any light vehicle early, OH can easily skip in getting an AT gun while for Soviets is mandatory unless you want to lose to a FHT rush.

And inb4 "muh M3", if you go for that, you are completely crippling yourself and your map control.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

M3 was already a meme unit which was only viable against OKW when they didn't get access to faust and it's even worst nowadays when most people go with a PF commander.
I've said before, might as well give Volks a faust when they build the first truck (not deploy) and then just buff the M3 so it gets some purpose and/or alternative the whole tier.
