Great work well done, that is allot more informative than opening post.

They could probably see some reduction if far moving DPS while on the move.

Which they do. But do they need to rival semi-auto rifles in moving DPS at max range? Because that's the issue I see with this. If obers are in range and chasing, they're shredding you no matter where they are, like an SMG squad would but at 35 range.

They also literally get an ability with vet that lets them suppress. If that's not stand out infantry capability, I'm not sure what would be.

And LMG paras get the similar ability from vet 0 instead of having to wait for vet 4.

With a a much sorter CD I might add.

One could even add the vet 1 ability of Air G. with the plane that also suppress.

It's a T4 squad on foot not the Terminator(s). Even the vet V sprint stops once in combat. If they have vet III+ then yes, it's time to press the T button as you've lost too many inf units to that squad earlier.

I feel like Obers are in the right place. Shock troopers, rangers etc. also cut down infantry. Why not obers?

Its not ober damage in question, its specifically LMG34 Ober damage while ON THE MOVE.

STG44 obers are supposed to be mobile so it makes sense with them.

I'd agree that it's not a change that needs to happen. I do think it's one that could possibly improve the game though. Lowering the moving accuracy multiplier from .75 to .6 could make obers perform more along the lines of how one would intuitively expect a moving LMG squad to perform.

Also, I'm curious to know what the moving multipliers for the airborne guards DP-28s are.

Don't paras do too? I forget their activation costs. My obers usually die before I can get them to vet 4

Zero percent. They cannot fire those things on the move iirc.

True. If a unit is made static long range combat type then their accuracy is higher along with the DPS in case of Obers. They should not be given such high damage or accuracy on move, infact I was surprised to know that any Axis units have such high sniping ability on move coz you know Axis are built around long range accuracy dependent units and not like Allies who need to close the distance to cause any effective damage.

Yeah I realised that I misread and thought he was talking about regular guards. My bad. Had a long night.

EDIT: Can I ask why they have 3 DP-LMGs? Are they worse than the regular Guard's 2x DP-28s?

Because they trying to make them "unique". Basically with LMGs they they are AI only with better AI on the and better AI on move.

moving 19.1 20.4 20.5 20.5
drop 68% 71% 76% 79%

(They seem to be even bigger offenders than Obers.)

Yeah that's a bit much. They have relatively low close and mid range standing dps compared to the others(which is fair) but that mobile damage output is really high.
They out damage lmg paras at range 10.
I wouldnt mind seeing the mobile damage brought down to similar levels as the other LMG squads.

LMG infantry should not be so good at chasing down enemies.
