Counter attack is definetly not useless doctrine.
Personally I like it a lot.
KV-1 is kinda broken with it's veterancy but I still like to spam them
Despite this weird veterancy, it's sometimes useful to swarm enemy with 3 of them, get behind and kill anything.
I wouldn't mess with any auras, especially like this. We have something similar called hull down and it's already not used almost at all.
My favorite vet 3 ostheer units are the pwerfer, pgrens without Shreks, p4, and mortar.
And then you realize that vet 3 Calliope is way better than vet 3 Werfer, vet 3 PzGrens are not that good vs vet 3 Rifles with BARs and vet 3 mortar is nowhere near vet 3 USF mortar
Only Pz4 stands becasue of extra armor when compare to Sherman
Plus I really like to use combined arms instead of a-move 3x Rifles with double BARs supported by 2 auto-sniping mortar
Tho I lose heavily with OST and like 3/4 of the games versus players I'm almost sure I would win as OKW, but as the game moves on Grens are losing their power more and more and more... It's depressing
If at least people playing allies would split 1/3 for each faction.. But in my last 21 games, 15 were versus USF
Or we could just change numbers instead of code itself...
Keep double Brens/1919s but lower their price and DPS so they are more in line with DP28, so double 1919 for let's say 90ammo have 120%DPS of LMG42.
Microing MG's could work. I guess the set it and forget it strat isn't the meta anymore. Counter mortar sounds like a good plan to me as well. Seems like a non issue. You just have to move units and play I guess, like most RTS games.
Well, inasmuch as modern jousting is a recreation of medieval jousting, it was not mainly combat so much as a combat sport. So even historically, the lances were designed to shatter, a dramatisation of the kind of thing that might happen in a real battle. But both then and now, this is still a full contact sport, and so injuries happen, like american football or rugby, at least.
Not sure this is an actual injury, but here is some footage from Leeds Armouries which happens to show someone taking a bad strike:
Well... They are in full plate. I'm fighting with greaves, shield, helmet (they supposed to cover entire body in formation) and that's mostly it, so I'm a bit afraid of myself during battles
The harnesses used in modern competitive jousting are not historical reconstructions, and there are no compromises for historical accuracy if that would put someone at risk. They're hitting each other as hard as they did for real, and while I'm not aware of anyone being killed doing it, yet, there have been concussions and broken bones.
Well, if weapons were sharp we would definetly see some deaths
As for me, I prefer to battle with wooden sword if I'm into big battle, where I don't know people.
As for the steel sword/spear I can go for it but only in duels where I know my opponent very well and I can trust him. I mean, it would be really bad to lose an eye by some stupid, missed thrust which bounce from the shield, straight into your eye...
I'm going to be streaming Cossacks 3 tomorrow and i've never played any of the games before. If anyone could stop by the channel and give me some quick start up tips i'd appreciate that

I will try to be there What time do you start?
PS
If you are new to this and you don't want to get rekt by stranger right away in 10mins (kinda pointless ), I can go for some epic, low pace 1v1 battle
