People forget you can tech T2 and get a ZiS if you need to, they're just used to clicking the lazy buttons of Elite Inf docs. Wehr T1 has no AT. USF has no AT unless you TECH zookas which is a fuel/tech and muni cost. So technically not just T1. UKF has to tech to 6 pounder AT guns. OKW does have the raketen and Sturm pios but yet they struggle with AT more than any other faction in the game since both are kinda shit. Soviets can get T2 right at the start and build a ZiS for no fuel at minute 1 if they want. Then have access to what is considered one of the most useful MG's in the game as well as Cons with AT nades should they want them. Also the best healing in the game for the least cost. T1 has 2 man snipers which are super powerful on their own, along with the M3 which is also useful. Now, with all of this already quite strong early game options does anyone think that Penals need PTRS or that Soviets need AT in T1? You're out of your minds. Not really. Going T1 and T2 in early game is huge MP cost, especially if you consider medics and molos/at nades. Wehrmacht has AT. 1 - panzerfaust 2 - teller mine USF has AT. 1 - M20 mine and single zook 2 - AAHT which can hold LVs 3 - vet 1 AT Nades UKF has pounder but that's linear teching so no issue here. OKW has plenty options. ___ Still PTRS is shit solution IMO. In: COH2 Gameplay

You only have a chance to react if a) Your hmg if above 75% of health. b) your camera is actually screening the action. You could be managing anything else around for a couple of seconds making any action to save your squad too late. Not paying attention can be used for every unit, for example: I didnot see this T70 coming so I couldnt react fast enough to save my AT Gun from circling it to death. Or I wasn't paying attention and I couldnt see this Centaur approaching my HMG42 You could make plenty examples like that. In: COH2 Balance

Too much example of already week light vehicle that dont even have the ability to wipe a squad no matter it is garrisoned or not get nerf. TO BE BALANCE, 251HT should mot be excluded considering it give not enough time for ally player's garrisoned mg to react and escape just like why they decided to nerf WASP before. L2P bro. If you can't handle microing and you lose squad in garrison it's L2P. It's not like FHT insta kills without any chances to react. Plus your logic is broken. This would make it better able to deal with the faptrack, and other light vehicles, with the trade off being that the squad needs to be stationary and spend a long time aiming to actually get shots off. In this way, the penal PTRS is an actualy AT upgrade that makes the squad into a better light vehicle hunter, instead of a consolation-prize AT unit. I know that PTRS already has 5 more range than AT rockets, but I think that PTRS should get a little more range if we are removing most of its AI efficiency. Longer range, stationary, longer aim so... How is that different and better than M-42? In: COH2 Gameplay

They are good on their own, they have some nice utility, they are different than Cons and they are good on their own without upgrades. I would rather see for example single DP28 (so they don't overlap with Guards, as single DP is way inferior to Guards) which would make them quite good AI with M-42 backup. But that's just an idea.
