Auto seeking cover was removed from the game long time ago.
Its not a bug, because line of code responsible for it literally does not exist anymore.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Thread: About USF early game, how about finally buffing RE a bit?8 Aug 2018, 07:48 AM
When was last time you've seen one used as anything else then sandbag and the latter can be built by other engineers or mainline infantry already? What is recrewing weapons? Apparently no other unit in USF arsenal can do that huh? What is Barbed Wire? A thing that hardly counts as its neither unique nor unexpected. I'll forgive you as you don't play the game, but lets not forget about the above uses of RE. And I'm 100% positive sure that someone who does not even own the factions knows a whole lot about the state of its units to have guts to even write that sentence. Or is it just sheer ignorance on your part? So they aren't useful because USF has the great benefit of being able to repair tanks? That's putting the cart before the horse. FYI one can still use them to repair tanks (and weapons too) anyways. If you have ever played USF, you'd know that RETs are used for repair extremely rarely if ever. They cap, carry zooks and sweep, that's literally all they can do. In theory as you've never used them before? Have you? Ofc you haven't. You don't even own USF. If you had, you wouldn't be even trying to question "usefulness" of it. So yeah, apart from the bazookas, the minesweepers, the green cover (tank traps), the mines, the barbed wire, the fighting position (which doubles as a house clearer/denier in a pinch), weapon recrewing, doctrinal flamers and a cheap unit to cap, I agree they have little utility. All of that and more can be done more effectively and better by other engineers with the exception of soviet CEs which are even more worthless, but much more mandatory. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: UKF feels entirely uphill, the entire game8 Aug 2018, 07:38 AM
Well, contrary to UKF, when OKW got its cheezy gimmicks removed, they actually got viable compensations. UKF was stripped naked out of its tools and given nothing in return. In: COH2 Balance |

What utility? The only utility they have is mine sweeping and its hardly RETs exclusive. They are not needed to build base, they are not needed to repair vehicles, sand castle rifle nades are nice exclusively in theory(which will viper will try to prove later on most likely), they do not perform in combat as well and the only unique active ability they have literally kills them on use. They are good for carrying zooks and that's the extend of their utility and combat capability. In: COH2 Balance |

You're diving balls deep into semantics and strawman arguments again. We both know the alternative is not op, unless you want to claim that literally any other unit you could get at that time is OP, because getting any other unit is a better choice in literally any other situation. If there are better options at the same tier for the same job instead of equal-ish alternatives, then that's a very definition of a unit being underpowered. In: COH2 Balance |

Do not stand in red cover with your infantry blob, then lowest suppression HMG in game won't suppress you instantly. In: COH2 Balance |

You claimed IS-2 misses every 5th shot. Reality is, it hits every 5th shot. Its scatter values are as terrible as the ones of KT. Both are slow machines on tracks when it comes to infantry combat, its either a wipe or nothing and most of the time its the latter for both. Ost P4 got better AI then T34 and T34 already got good AI, so you missed this example just like IS-2 misses its targets. Oh, and Tiger rips infantry to shreds. It always did, being very reliable vs infantry and hitting very often due to low scatter. In: COH2 Balance |

Seems like you need to train yourself against the computer AI with the IS2 first because the IS2 can certainly hit quite hard against inf like a pershing. It's certainly less reliable than a pershing as I'd say every 5th shot is a complete miss against inf even when stationary. And around every 6 shots is a squad wipe. It certainly hit inf more reliably than a panther. The persh gets a squad wipe every 4 shots on average. IS2 owns persh on survivability and they have similar RoF and penetration against armor. In summary, this is a L2P issue. Seems like you need to train yourself in the art of understanding stats, because IS-2 accuracy is non existent, just like KT accuracy. Its not reliable at all against infantry, its good vs armor, but its pure crap against inf, nowhere near regular tiger performance. In: COH2 Balance |
