Soviets used even captured king tigers, but I'd settle with a simple panther and 222. Maybe of one faction heroes will have them used against them in correct way they'll learn to appreciate them (no seriously, I'd like to experiment with captured tanks use with maybe different vet so base is the same, but scalability plays to the faction it'd be in. JLI and Commandos get different bonuses for first strike and have different camo than ostheer camo that also get sprint in package, while some unit get no bonuses when firing from cover (AT infantry/weapons also.) Commandos Veterancy 2 grants +35% speed during ambush for 3.25 seconds; Veterancy 0 sprint Ambush bonus removed. (they do get x1.50 accuracy at vet 0) Since the 2 unis have different optimum ranges it is difficult to compare. JLI want to use their bonus a long to mid range while commandos want to use their bonus close range and chase the enemy on retreat. Which doesn't make what I have said wrong in any slightest way. Ambush bonus is 1.5 damage and that's it, its universal. You're talking about vet here. In: COH2 Balance

Unless that is considered broken too. It already got 125% to hit on regular no cover at max range, red cover changes absolutely nothing for them. In: COH2 Balance

Can someone explain to me what are those? (I don't know what the term "cover accuracy modifier" is). Does it ignore cover? It means their sniper rifle pretty much ignores green cover. For comparison, StG Obers, who obliterate everything behind cover have 0.75 green cover accuracy modifier while 0.5 is standard for everyone else but real snipers. In: COH2 Balance

Thats why they feel a lot worse at the 6-7+ minute mark when vet 2 mainlines start coming out. Vet values should be (if i read the outdated guide and changelog right) - 50% construction rate (they moved medkits to vet 0 and that was a great buff) - -30% weapon cooldown, -23% received accuracy +33% repair rate - Unlocks the 'Concussive Grenade' Ability, +25% construction rate - 40% accuracy - No longer takes extra damage when you repair. The basics on vet for combat units are: -23% RA, 40% accuracy, 20% cooldown, vet 1 ability and some flavour vet like extended range on abilities, reduced muni cost or faster recharge. Check which boxes SP fulfill. They have regular combat unit vet in comparison to mainline infantry squads. In: COH2 Balance

Right now it´s indeed a bit too hard to vet them up compared to other units. Believe me, its not that hard as long as you remember they are not shock troops and should not be leading any charges.
