They still trade equally at long range and have tools to punish other squads getting close. Also, additional model > 10% RA and PFs stomp volks DPS once upgraded and vetted. Why does this thread even exists? Were you all people asleep when unit was being reworked? Because all I remember was praise for them being 0CP and having shreck upgrades. In: COH2 Balance

So you say they need either a cost reduction, a performance buff or both? From the second you get 90 muni onward, volks perform much worse and it stays that way. And don't worry, volks are being addressed with cost increase already, so the gap is justified, its not like OKW doesn't have stock options to supplement PFs in early game, volks included. KT should at least feel the same or better considering all its modules and what consists of the tank itself is simply superior to all the heavy tanks during the war. Definitely was far better than the Tiger 1. Everything about KT was faster, stronger and deadlier. Funny how it feels the other way around. Umm, everything about preview KT IS better. Better damage, better health pool/armor, better penetration. It simply doesn't deserve to be any better vs infantry then other heavies, because there is no balance reason for it. And not sure what anything about KT should be faster, when it was heaviest and slowest tank of the war. Individually, it couldn't even engage IS-2 without any problems, so it hardly was superior at all if you want to move on historical background. In: COH2 Balance

And I call that bullshit, because it has higher accuracy then SU-85 while having lower target size, in fact, it has same or HIGHER accuracy against all allied 60 range TDs while having lower to much lower target size then each of them. SU-85 doesn't really struggle hitting anything at any range and neither does JP4. You're using it wrong if its missing a lot for you, like trying to shoot on the move all the time. In: COH2 Balance

And they should be, doctrines are supplemental to playstyle, map and what opponent does, they aren't supposed to be magical "upgrade" button to whatever you do regardless of circumstance. Well, there is only so much stupid you can spit before I react, sorry. PF are overpriced, with out upgrade the inferior to all infantry in their price range and with g43 they are more expensive to tech, built and upgrade than penals, yet they are not better. Nope, they aren't, you're forgetting the fact that they start right off the bat with nades, faust, flares. Nades and fausts usually require upgrades or tech, PFs have that out of the gate ready for use. That additional utility rises their cost and that utility is specifically why you'd want them early, faust specifically. If you think they perform too bad right out of the gate, don't get them before you have 90 muni for upgrade, they'll still arrive much earlier then they would at 2CP. Its not UKF, you don't have to pick one and stick to it, you can mix them with other powerful starting stock infantry OKW has. There is absolutely nothing preventing you from getting 2 volks and 3 PFs instead of spamming one or other up to 5. There are also spios who will easily carry them to the point where they can be upgraded. No rocket science here. They can't be cheaper with all the utility they have for free out of the gate.
