Thread: Osttruppen Irregulars and Partisans17 Jul 2015, 18:04 PM I've been advocating for partisans and irregulars removal of their accuracy penalty for so long now... I felt like osttruppen were performing nicely recently, but mobile defense osttruppen definitely felt tougher as they have lacked 1.25 rec acc modifier most likely. They aren't self sufficient, but are great supporting troops, vet fast and scale quite nicely(their penalty goes away with vet). In: COH2 Balance

Sure, the British used the Priest for a short time, but that was it. Not a fan of using the AEC armored car. The British used a whole bunch of armored cars, but the AEC was the heavy car and not used for reconnaissance; it was the fire support for other armored cars, intended to get them out of trouble, but not to scout on its own. The Daimler I, the Humber III or IV, the Staghound I; all of these would've been better choices. Oh well, at least the rest of the faction looks great What makes you believe AEC role will be scout car and not fire support? In: Lobby

But - from the few games I've played...Teching speed is a little too much in favor of Soviets. There's a much bigger window for a T70 or M5 to basically rule the battlefield until Ostheer can get any armor out as a hard counter. As for OKW...Well, they're just screwed, but that's unlikely to change. I don't think the OKW PziV can come any faster - haven't played as OKW yet though. OKW Puma didn't go anywhere. You can have JP4 around the time T70 arrives as well. And its not like a pair of 222s will be useless either. Teching and meta is shifting. Time to change mindset and approach as well. In: Lobby

Non existent AoE and huge scatter against inf doesn't make it frequent occurrence either. Soviet AT guns don't have any better accuracy at all here, the chance is exactly the same as for PaKs. You're making rare occurrence look like constant problem, but 5% AT gun accuracy isn't 60% StuG accuracy bug. In: COH2 Gameplay

Heavy means nothing to me. with the usf already having a TD that easily bypasses armour if i had to choose between the p4 or the panther i would choose the p4 to engage the jackson. Also i know the alpha and the last unit i would ever make against the brits is the panther. Also i would say that medium armour is better at surviving things because if they get into a sticky situation you use blitz and gtfo. P4 which gets penetrated 100% of the time vs Panther which gets penetrated 62% of the time. P4 is also slower then panther and takes 1 shot less from any AT that isn't Jackson to be killed. Yep, no difference here at all, definitely P4 seems better at surviving here. They are not better units. i will give another example. panther vs is2 is a clear win for the is2 while 2 stugs will beat the shit out of an is2. That is alex level of contradiction. Also, panther isn't exactly supposed to slug it out with IS-2. Its faster and have better turret rotation for a reason you know. Obviously if you're a failure and don't micro multiple weaker units are better then single strong one. In: COH2 Balance

I wouldn't be so sure about it. We've had many great games that have shown us that OKW can endure and come back from base locks that no other army could recover from. I'm absolutely not saying that losing squads/armor doesn't have impact on OKW, but if you do not wipe squads and wreck armor you'll be destroyed by vet5 snowball effect. The only counterplay to superior vet5 units is to wipe them. Now, I don't believe P4 or volks should get a popcap increase, if anything T34 which got cost decrease should also get pop decrease to 10.
