Thread: No more general chatter?7 Jul 2014, 16:54 PM Seems to be lower than usual, even for the new factions. Ostheer and Soviets are missing theirs in my game and the few replays I've watched of other casters showing the new factions versus the old, I don't really hear it at all. Thread: US troops vs HMG1 Jul 2014, 01:07 AM Doesn't the MG 42 already have a incremental modifiers that raises suppression and damage based on the number of models where it's blasting at? Maybe those could be raised. Problems with the MG 42, as has been stated are the next gunner needs to immediately start firing rather than waiting to get blasted off as he looks around. There is also the fact that the 42 takes forever to reload and tends to do it at the worst possible times. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Infantry General Chatter24 Jun 2014, 06:59 AM Played a 1v1 on Langreskya versus Soviets with Wehrmacht/Ostheer just to confirm. No General chatter at all, be it the Grenadier squad leader shouting about using the faust(there is a separate line outside of confirmation meant for background ex: "Panzer, meet faust!"). Soviets never spoke about the revolutions, no comments about the half-track and neither side said anything for when troops were wounded/dying. Something is definitely wrong. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Infantry General Chatter24 Jun 2014, 06:15 AM I'm not sure this is a bug or simply specific to Russian and Ostheer when the new factions aren't around, but there is no longer any general chatter from random infantrymen. Things like: "I used to teach mathematics," or "I am missing a biscuit, stealing is not the Soviet way, comrades!" don't seem to exist anymore. If they were taken out, I feel they should be added back in, even if it won't always suit the factions considering it adds a bit more life to the game, though Soviets definitely could keep their lines while still fighting Germans. Thread: Worst balance ever . soviet domination9 Jun 2014, 18:26 PM PPSH is its own issue since its so bad at anywhere but melee range meaning Shock are terrible for their cost, even with armour. Shocktroops should honestly be cheaper or let their PPSH have a bit more damage range than the ones used by conscripts. Since they have to be touching people to do damage, and its shock troops, most people will likely retreat meaning their only really got at killing off approaching infantry or weapon crews, something conscripts already do. I haven't seen shocks deployed in I don't know how long. The only real issue I have with Soviets vs Ost in terms of balance is the M3 and mines and maybe the sniper on certain maps. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Artilleries9 Jun 2014, 02:33 AM They should give howies a fuel cost and tone the manpower down, though maybe WFA will change that and their effectiveness. Gun could also use more HP to survive being one-shotted by off-maps or maybe they could allow the crew to jump off and allow them to get another gun for cheaper price IF the gun they were previously on blows up. Given that the Americans can get out of their vehicles I don't see why howies can't change. I doubt anyone would send their squishy three man arty crew to try and cap the map unless their desperate.
