Thread: PPSh-41 needs a buff, or?25 Dec 2014, 07:24 AM I think they're pretty balanced on one hand, but I think their profile could be modified so that they at least keep the minimum DPS of Mosin Nagants. LMG's still slightly improve close range performance, G43 and BAR still slightly improve long range performance, so I see no good reason the only doctrinal upgrade Conscripts have should nerf their already poor range whilst comparable upgrades do not. It makes sitting in green cover a bad thing. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: VI B and Teching25 Dec 2014, 05:22 AM I don't mind it being as it is, but maybe they should move it to the Schwerer Panzer Headquarters so that losing this building doesn't mean you can just fall back and camp to a King Tiger instead. Something should still take it's place at the HQ truck, maybe the Panther (separate version with a slower build time?) or Panzer IV Ausf. J so they have something to fall back on. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Lack of new playstyles25 Dec 2014, 01:32 AM Yeah but that's my point, T3 isn't really viable against USF. T1 and T2 also suffer. That leaves T4 which is very expensive, or call-ins. And that's why Tiger meta is so strong for Ostheer, the faction is crutching on it against USF. In: Lobby
Thread: Wehrmacht Ostheer25 Dec 2014, 00:42 AM Another problem is the traverse speed, it's so slow. I had an MG 42 suppress 2 charging Riflesquads, but they got too close so I packed up and moved back, and redeployed. After setting up again, one of the squads became unsuppressed and resumed his run at it, but the MG 42 had already targeted the other squad. I told it to target the charging squad, but it was too slow, dispite getting a burst off at them at the end, they left the arc of fire unsuppressed and forced it to retreat. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Lack of new playstyles24 Dec 2014, 20:34 PM Jump back to quoted post24 Dec 2014, 09:54 AMNuclear Arbitor the jackson hard counters the stug in the same way the su85 does: by having more range. IVs work fine but you have to be aggressive, which can be difficult to judge a good time for. StuG's take 3 hits to get killed by an SU-85, a single Jackson hit reduces that to one hit from any vehicle or AT Gun. A two-hit wonder isn't really reliable, especially when the hitters tend to travel together. Panzer IV's on the other hand are more durable, but still suffer against Jacksons which kill them in 3 hits, making a once reliable unit as fragile as a StuG is normally. From there, your only option is to go for Tiger Tanks (most common) or go for T4 Panther Tanks (less common, but my preferred). Yesterday I got a Tiger because I wasted my fuel on T3 and it's vehicles. It wasn't until after the Tiger was deployed that another Panzer IV I made could be useful, using the Tiger to deal and soak the damage and having the Panzer IV chase down the wounded Jacksons. Thread: Lack of new playstyles24 Dec 2014, 08:33 AM The reason for the lack of new playstyles is most of them don't work, unless you're better than you're opponent in which case they're great for gimmick-strategies. Earlier as Ostheer I tried to go T3 vs USF, didn't work at all. StuG's and Panzer IV's proved to be way too fragile with Jacksons around, and I gave up and called in a Tiger tank, because that's what works. In: Lobby
