Thread: My thoughts & ideas on Conscripts29 Aug 2014, 05:37 AM I feel the need to get involved in this thread again. The more I think about it I believe little can be done to Conscripts to make them scale late game the same way Volks, LMG Grens, and Rifle's do. Call it defeatist but until the game designers recognize there is a problem nothing will change. With that being said I believe changing Penal's is the absolute way to go. Remove their flame thrower and for a single DP-28 upgrade unlocked once a T3 or T4 building is up. I would envision that their damage profile would look an awful lot like my favorite infantry unit, the Panzerfussilers. The Soviet's now have their all star mid-long range unit without having to change much else. In: COH2 Balance

Imagine what would happened if Conscripts were as good late game as LMG Grens or Rifles and on top of that you had access to elite infantry like Shocks or Guards as well. I'm pretty sure anyone can see how broken that would be. See at the bigger picture Gentlemen. That line of thinking is out of date. I know what would happen if Conscripts were as good as late game as LMG Grens, you'd see them on the field and fighting past the 20 minute mark. The thoughts can go both direction Imagine what would happened if Volks were as good late game as LMG Grens or Rifles and on top of that you had access to elite infantry like Panzerfusiliers, or Obersoldaten as well. Sounds like a good game to me. In: COH2 Balance
