Weapon racks are not upgrades, they are picking up weapons. In: COH2 Balance

Can just imagine unit of cooks, typists, grave diggers - whatever - asking army supply officer for two bazookas. Yeah right. If you are going to argue like that, then it's better to just keep the weapon racks and re-name RE troops into something like engineers. No faction needs units to cook food or dig graves in this game anyway. In: COH2 Balance

Its wild that you cant do flamers and sweeper on pios/CEs, but 2x zook REs which get a 5th man with vet can still get a sweeper Same goes for Royal Engies and piats. A sweeper should lock out any other upgrade It should just take a weapon slot. I don't think it needs to take up both slots. In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger I’d like to see the Ostwind made relevant in the Scavenge doctrine. Currently it’s not worth building. I’d like to see it in T4 but not require upgrade. The Hetzer could probably benefit from that as well, Admittedly, I'm not super high ranked with OKW, but I find the OKW ostwind to be quite powerful. If you are ahead in the fuel game it's a great finisher, like the Centaur is for the Brits. Of course, you are not going to build one if you are not ahead on fuel, but the same applies to other AI tanks like the Centaur or KV8, but that doesn't mean the units are bad. On topic of the Hetzer.. I think it can be shifted to only require T4 and not Panzer authorization. Unlike the Centaur and Ostwind it can't defend itself against light AT vehicles and it doesn't have a turret to run circles around early AT guns. In: COH2 Balance

If nothing else AT guns should have this added for quality of life. A jackson not hitting infantry has the same learning curve as learning that SMG troops only do dmg up close - i.e. you learn it after 1 game. A new player can look at his screen and instantly see which units are only on attack vehicle mode without having to identify the units themselves. If they want to dive a dive an IS2, they don't have to make sure their P4 has the symbol, and the panther that they have been using to kill some shocks doesn't have the symbol for some reason. Conversely, if they want to A-move across the map as new players tend to do, they just have to make sure no units have the symbol so they don't run headlong into enemy infantry. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tank AI rebalance3 Apr 2020, 07:02 AM I don't think this will improve consistency much. Units like the ostwind, Brumbar, and ISU152, rely completely on their main guns to counter infantry so will still get lots of kills against clumped up units. Buffing MGs and removing cover mechanics for tank MGs also makes things like using a sandbag wall with guards behind them a lot worse against medium armor for no reason. Pintle MG upgrades are not devided evenly. Medium and heavy tanks often have the same number of MGs so either the MGs will have to be inconsistent in strength or the main guns will still need different AI strength, which will still lead to inconsistent wipes against clumped units. In: COH2 Balance
