Here is how I see the the 3 trafes:
The IL-2 strafe is fairly weak. It will not 1-shot squads (which is good), most of the time it will take a squad down to half HP and cause suppression. It does decent damage against light vehicles but only scratches medium tanks from the front and doesn't do a whole lot of damage against rear armor either.
P47 does a ton more damage to tanks but does not target infantry or support weapons at all. The damage is spaced out over 2 planes so it does not have extreme alpha damage. Their accuracy against moving targets is terrible as well. Heavy tanks are too much for the P47 and they will only take mild damage if you don't stay stationary. Medium tanks can get wrecked in 2-3 passes if you don't respond fast enough.
Now, the JU87 strafe... This thing is ridiculous at the moment. It's 40 ammo cheaper than the P47 strafe, yet it is better at anti-tank than the P47 (equal damage but concentrated in 1 burst rather than divided over 2 planes, wrecks all medium tanks in 1 pass with little time to respond) AND better at anti-infantry than the IL-2 strafe (way more damage, more squad wipes, wrecks support weapons) minus the suppression. It's way over performing for a 200 munition ability. The single pass strafe of the close air support doctrine is also broken. When used on the edge of the map (for short flying distance), it's a guaranteed kill on medium tanks. The shots hit the ground a mere 5 to 6 seconds after you call the plane in. Factor in nearly 2 seconds for the smoke to land, and you have yourself a situation where the enemy tank can't even accelerate away fast enough before getting 1-shotted. It can also be called in to wreck AT guns or clear infantry better than the single pass IL 2 strafe.
Something has to change with the strafes. Either IL-2 needs to be slightly cheaper and the JU87 needs to be a LOT more expensive (300 ammo at least). Or the IL-2 and JU87 need to be adjusted to match performance in price, which will mean a tiny buff to the IL-2 and a big nerf to the JU87. |

Well, at least the panzerfaust and panzerschrek are very reliable in dealing (engine) damage from the front to every allied tank that is not an IS-2 or KV1/KV2. With allied AT weapons, even axis medium tanks like the P4 require you to flank to get the same results. |
Agreed with all but the ISU/JT/Elephant point. I think it would be a shame to completely remove these units. The Elephant and JT are fine now in my opinion, removing them won't actually make the game that much better. Ostheer and OKW players will just go for the next best thing: Tiger Aces and King Tigers. Without the ISU152, Soviets will just go B4 or stop playing. |

This generation want everything better faster and cheeper or free, And expects it.
All im saying is you should be thankfull you can get stuff without paying and only playing
Starcraft and Warcraft were complete games. There was no P2W DLC for multi-player and expansion packs were reasonably priced. It's completely different from CoH2. |
Yes OKW can get quite a few units early on. Their early game is especially powerful when they get MG34s.
A truck-push + sturmpio early attack, followed with 3-4x Volks, med truck, and 2x MG34s is a nasty combo against Soviets. A reason for this is the very low teching cost for OKW compared to soviets, giving the OKW an advantage in squad numbers.
If you want to even the odds, you can use demo charges to wipe a few of his squads. |

Don't watch this game, here is a short recap to save you some time.
OKW player is loses squads like it's his dayjob. Has a total of 2 vet stars at the 20 minute mark. Does not get help from Ostheer player to deal with early Dodge.
Ostheer player has to carry his team mate but he can only do so much.
Ostheer player insults enemy for using call-ins, while using Mechanised assault for StugEs and, had he had the fuel for it, tigers.
Lots of BM from Sierra, as expected.
3/10 would not watch again.

I have also had several "Delayed Responses" GRENADE yelled as it lands rather then when its fired.
This could be an old bug that has reared his ugly head up again. This problem used to be in the game months ago but was patched out. I have sort of noticed it too, I would hear "grenade!" immediately pan over to the squad, only to see half the squad dead in a small crater. |
