The scott and the pak howitzer are not good counters. They only work if the wm player is braindead. Does the scott even outrange the pak43? The scott is a shitty howitzer after it's been nerfed into the ground, you have to use it in close combat, which makes no sense. It's like a brumbar with less accuracy, less armor, less cost, less area boom, and less hp.
A pak? LMAO. Every pak howi you build can be efficiently countered with a single investment into a panzerwerfer. The pak howi will not be able to have any effect on the pak43 before being decrewed or destroyed outright. Then when the player gives up on that angle, it's still useful in case the player wants to try using major arty(who's area of effect is way too large to be a threat to a pak43).
The only true counters to the pak43 are the doctrinal coliope and priest. |

I've noticed that 4v4 games are going on longer now. Usually things would come to a close at the 1 hour mark. Now outskilled axis players are able to prolong games up to 1:15. When allies are outskilled you can't get a 45 minute match very often, but it depends on how big the gap is of course. My last was 3axis and 1 ai vs 4 allied and it goes to 1:11. |
Justifications and rationalizations for nerfing USF have been ample since they were brought into the game. Right off the bat it was over the AAHT. The pak40 could still deal with it back then. Teller mines still worked. Yet they felt it was too strong. I'm sure the win rates were similar. The changes to USF was never about extreme difficulty in beating USF players. |
the jackson is really the only glass cannon. The rest of the lineup is just below average at this point from years of nerfs, but for the same price others are paying for more efficient units. |
The only problem I have with the flame halftrack is that it can chase down squads on retreat quite well.
Other than that, you have tools to deal with it.

The Sherman HE rounds collide with just about anything between the tank and the target. This is one of the biggest problems with the HE rounds. Anything can block them. It's why they don't have the kind of results people expect. Get into an area that isn't cluttered though, you're going to land a magic shot eventually.
Sherman is overpriced though. I'd rather the price stay the same and the machine improve, though. |
Many of the destroyed buildings in this map block howitzers, I encounter it a lot with the priest. The remnants of these buildings are indestructible and will block the entire barrage as it's fired, point blank. |
