Trucks and half tracks. If it's supposed to reflect any kind of historical impact, trucks or carriers and/or increased mobility should be in that doctrine somewhere. M3s and M5s are core units While I agree about the role of supply, that is hard to show, like cavalry, in this level of game. Right now it is only what: M3 Meatgrinder (only if you have gone T3) Um, DSHK on IS2 can shoot planes? Germans have: Ostwind Pintle Mount MGs on their tanks In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: New Doctrine - Lend Lease29 Dec 2013, 03:13 AM Thanks for the responses. I see a lot of people want Shermans, and I have to wonder why. It can certainly be justified on historical grounds, but it's a medium tank with a 75mm gun in a full rotation turret, and both factions already have one of those in the PIV and 34/76. The Lee on the other hand has a unique weapon arc for the 75mm that is nothing like anything else in the game (I'd also like to see T-35s for similar reasons) Valentines, Churchills and Matildas can all be justified; I just liked the Matilda as the most different to what is already there. The Valentine would be in between a T-70 and T-34 and Churchill is a downgunned KV-1 I am really suprised that no-one disliked Gold Braid, as buying Vet is the 2nd most hate thing about Elite Troops (unless I've put sane limits on it) In: COH2 Gameplay

Even late in 1945 the Germans were organizing effective counter attacks that the Soviet army was struggling to defeat. The German army was a better unit, and would have won the war for Germany had Hitler not intervened multiple times at critical moments. In addition, the Soviet army did win by brute strength, tactics were difficult to teach to mostly illiterate peasants. We can have a discussion on that if you want, but I don't think this is the thread for it. I'll be glad to discuss in the Scrapheap if anyone wants In: COH2 Balance

People just need to realize one thing: The soviets won the war through massively outnumbering the germans. No, the Soviets won by being better Numbers did not after all avail them anything in 1941. This idea was understandable when the major source on the War in the East was the self-serving memoirs of German Generals, but we have had access to more balanced sources since then. We are not required to believe the traditional narrative that: "We were vastly outnumbered but nevertheless the German Army won a string of victories from Moscow all the way to Berlin because we are so awesome, and we would still have won had it not been for that meddling Hitler" In: COH2 Balance

After you get the engineers you may have some opportunity after blowing the equipment but before and after you are setting fire to everything ++++++++++++++++++ At the bottom of the main game page, to the immediate right of the "exit" button is "tactics" That has a tutorial and training guides and tips In: COH2 Gameplay
