More diversity - less balance. This is a common logical fallacy. Making everything a mirror is EASIER to balance, but a more diverse game isn't inherently less balanced. The more diversity you have, the more variables you have, but that doesn't mean it's imbalanced. You can have a very diverse game and have it be very well balanced: See Dawn of War 2 Elite mod. 7 factions, 20 heroes (which come with 9-12 wargear upgrades each + 2-3 global abilities.) and it's extremely well balanced. Their basic rifles aren't even bad at all, actually. A weapon upgrade is still better but leaving them vanilla and making use of their other muni abilities is actually fairly viable. Thread: How to make 2nd floor building doors operational?2 Dec 2015, 23:06 PM Not sure how Relic assigns doors to be used, but I would imagine it's tied to the model. So the only way to do this I would wager is to somehow edit this in the model file. I'm sure someone else knows a lot more than I do about this though. In: Mapping Discussion

The point of weapon racks is that allies need to sacrifice field presence (or use a special halftrack/forward aseembly) to get weapon upgrades because they generally have a more aggressive early game and thus an easier time getting map control. It also gives you some versatility. You can put that same weapon on anything that can hold them. This works out to some fun combinations like Commandos with brens, rear echelon squads with LMG's for fast suppression or simply giving bazookas to all your infantry. In comparison, the Germans can upgrade in the field (and get more powerful upgrades) but they don't have the same versatility. If you want panzerschrecks you need Pgrens/Volksgrenadiers, if you want LMG's you need grenadiers or obersoldaten etc. In: COH2 Gameplay

That is the only thing it has going for it besides the command vehicle. The rest of the abilities including the engineer scavengers are pretty weak because they can't be upgraded to heavy anvil engineers or anything. It's not a bad doctrine, but I wish they toned down the muni cost for the forward observation post. It's extremely expensive to use effectively. The support drop for 150 muni is also pretty nice. You get ~600 manpower of support units + healing + all units on the map move a lot quicker for a decent duration. I found it nice for giving teammates (especially soviets) some extra oomph in the mid game. The salvage engineers work great as repair drones and being able to supplement income with wrecks is very useful. In: COH2 Bugs

Thread: Command Vehicle Abandon Bug2 Dec 2015, 07:45 AM So when my command vehicle got abandoned by the stuka at approx 50 minutes, when I recrewed it it no longer provided the command aura but I could not make a new command vehicle.
