Porygon is pushing it |
I was actually looking forward to US the most, but i got disappointed and have found myself having the most fun with Soviets and OKW. I just love these 2 factions, suit my style perfectly although the factions are very different. |
If KT is so costly, then that means that the Panther is not easy to obtain for mid-late game. It isn't even that easy to obtain with the more resource plentiful Ostheer, either. The Jagdpanzer IV would presumably be 70% of the Panther's fuel price (based on the relation b/w Stug III G and P4).
My guess is that the Jagdpanzer IV is the core late game armor.
Youre really, really excited bout the Jagdpanzer dontya |

As allways, take with a grain of salt.

Heinroch Severloh (1923 - +2006)was a Soldier stationed in Normandy in 1944 where he earned the unflatering title Beast of Omaha Beach.
As a Machine Gunner stationed in Widerstandsnest 62 ( Resistance Pocket 62 ) some presume that he was responsible for around 2097 killed and 3826 wounded.
Though, these estimated numbers might very well be overblown, Severloh says
"It was definitely at least 1,000 men, most likely more than 2,000. But I do not know how many men I shot. It was awful. Thinking about it makes me want to throw up. I almost emptied an entire infantry landing craft. The sea was red around it and I could hear an American officer shouting hysterically in a loudspeaker."
"There was no glory on the beach that day-just a lot of blood and screams
and good young men dying."
"With everyone you kill, you also kill a part of yourself; and that day I killed alot of myself. Far too much."

Thanks A_E. Dasheepeh, the tl;dr is this:
1. With some exceptions, you only build one non-doctrinal core infantry unit (rifle section) which then gets the ability to equip itself with support weapons.
Pro - flexibility
Con - Can't cap points
The vanilla rifle section can cap, but if you convert it into a Bren or Vickers LMG / HMG team then it cannot. A tradeoff.
2. To capture the feel of armoured infantry doctrine you can choose to twin a non-vehicle unit with any vehicle unit.
Pro - bonus to speed / accuracy
Con - the units stay close and if one is destroyed the other unit takes penalties until re-twinned (promotes micro / unit preservation)
3. Territory Denial - to get the vibe of special operations / airborne (a la Market Garden and the airborne Rhine Crossings) as well as the fact that the British would often advance faster than they could supply, the Brits can use elite troops to try to deny enemy resources. This involves three units - Humber ACs, SAS jeeps and snipers (the Humber is a 222 analogue, the SAS jeep a Kubel style fast scout) which can go to an area, cap it then with a resource spend deny it to the enemy for a period.
Pro - enemy denial
Con - the Brits can suffer OKW style logistics issues as they advance beyond their supply train
Airborne ops - The Brits can drop infantry and supplies
Pro - they can 'buy' air-dropped resources like the Luftwaffe Doctrine
Cons - planes can get shot down.
