For everyone having the same doubts I had, the game is really solid. It feels different from CoH2, but unless you expect a carbon copy ith better graphics, you won't be disappointed
As a CoH fan waiting for other game releases such as Broken Arrow, I decided to buy after the free weekend and good discount. Also, Relic (exists in name only) reduced to a "manageable" studio size played a role in my buying decision.
For CoH fans, I agree it's now a solid game.
But if Broken Arrow receive a good release + reviews I doubt CoH3 MP has a positive future.
My verdict;
Do I recommend buying the game?
For casual CoH players? No.
Fans? Only with a discount.
Based on past Relic/Sega misdeeds and lack of leadership remorse (associated with sociopathy behavior), Relic absolutely do not deserve your money nor any trust whatsoever.
To be fair, Sega's "Super Game initiative" (such as HYENAS, link below) chasing the golden goose is one of the reasons for these studio failures.

False copyright strikes is a line that should never be crossed. No exceptions. It's a dangerous act of intimidation that companies do when they're stupid and desperate. This can never happen again.
In comparison, Black Bird Interactive is being run/influenced by former Relic visionaries.
As a result, their chance of thriving as a studio (without corporate overlords/blood-sucking vampires) is much higher than a studio that is caught in a downward spiral.
I'll use an analogy like this;
