Thread: Does anyone else think the Comet is bullshit?28 Mar 2017, 08:27 AM the main problem is the armor and health. with it's mobility you can already drive it around like a gokart. but seeing a comet driving DIRECTLY AT a wall of paks/raketen/stugs and seeing 2/3 of hits bounce off is undescribable get it to not bounce all the time and the cheeser can still have fun with driving it around while good preparation against comet attacks actually matters In: COH2 Balance

The cover mechanic, supression, and other game mechanics from coh2 are 'optional'. And Steel division is supposed to be half WARGAME (tactical RTS) and half RUSE (casual RTS), making the perfect sweet spot. Just like coh2. Add to this that this game will be release in July 2017, made by EUGEN company (known for it's perfect balance design and game support) and a MASSIVE 10 v 10 team games ! (People always choose a game for its team battles first, then they switch sometimes to 1v1 but it's always team battles which matters at first). With all these points, i see no reason why someone would still play coh2 by july 2017 but that's only a personal opinion. To add a bit more credibility to its, i have been part in the Steel division alpha and sadly am not allowed to release any kind of content for now but i can tell you that it's at least as good as coh2 with much less bugs, better balance. edit : you can see some gameplay here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yerdh3TfZds . looks complicated on the video but it's in fact very easy to master when in game. the more players there are in a gamemode, the more casual the game is Also i'm sick and tired of "RTS" in which HUMAN INFANTRY MOVE AND BEHAVE LIKE ROBOTS that point alone makes CoH unique. there is no alternative In: COH2 Gameplay

The IS are one of the worst Allied infantry because the bonus in cover they get is actually a con for them out of cover, not to mention their cost, why do you think blobbing doesn't work with them or why Osttruppen are so effective against them then? Yes yes, the Comet and Cromwell. Those 2 tanks were the ones I meant. Emplacements, the only emplacement I've noticed that the Axis are still crying about is the mortar pit. But if you nerf it it becomes useless so using my idea of replacing it and keeping it unique at the same time is the best way to go Imo. Haven't heard many people complain about the Bofors after the nerf to it and you pretty much almost never see a 17 pounder on the field. All in all the Brits only have their Tanks and Vanguard\Infiltration Commandos going for them atm. + the best AT gun + bonus MG range in house for whatever reason + the most cost effective Engineers + trenches unhittable by raketen + playercard pls but what you fail to see is the most important point: with brits you need MAYBE HALF OF THE CLICKS YOU NEED FOR EVERY OTHER FACTION In: COH2 Gameplay

But as a matter of fact a lot of the maps can be easily closed by the British player within 10 minutes by simply going for an invincible mortar pit (Ettelbrück station, road to Kharkov). The mortar can be built behind an obstacle close enough to the frontline and bomb the most important part of the map with impunity. the best thing are wipes which the brit player doesn't even recognize because he didn't make a single click for it In: COH2 Gameplay
