I don't know the stats but from experience it makes hell of a difference.

After playing recent patch I have to say it's easier to deal with this now. That being said however I still think Maxim over performs slightly especially when you compare it to Germans equivalents.

On the side note for all you player card maniacs I am currently ranked 550 in 2v2 as Soviet team with Katitoff and around 832 again in 2v2 as OKW. I don't have a partner for OKW so I play random. I know silly of me. My random 2v2 Soviet is higher mostly becuase I didn't play it with random teammate for a while now. Same goes for random 2v2 as Wermaht.

This one is a good one.

I had this pretty intense 2v2 and it was going back and forth. A lot of static weapons late game. Veted 120mm mortars, US howitzers and stuff. Game went late and these bombardments were very anoying. Costed me a one of the base building so at some point I went Stuka. Scouted the position with infantry - obviously everything was clustered together so bam! First salvo of rockets and both 120mm mortars destroyed, 2 minutes latter 2nd salvo got bunched up together ZiSs, finally some time passed and our opponents decided to perform an attack. As they were terrible blobers they gathered all their units and marched them throughout the middle bridge on "Crossing in the woods". No flanking whatsoever. This one was spotted. Another salvo latter and this army was forced to retreat with heavy causalities. They raged and it made my day .

Is Stuka effective? - when used correctly yes it is but that's not my point. Our opponents basically made it very easy for us to utilize this unit in a very effective way. Everything was o bunched up together it was like they were begging please hit us, hit us.

Surprisingly enough the last salvo, the blob one didn't do that much damage. It did heavy losses but I don't think a single squad was wiped.

I think people misunderstand Dane's statements.
He never said Elephant is useless. He said that in regards to the game he was casting. He said it is pointless to go for Elephant when enemy got almost no tanks and loads of infantry and tbh I agree with that.

His opinion about Pumas was again from the game he casted and again at that time it was a valid one. In the recent balance video he actually said he as wrong about Pumas and they are good units but somehow everyone forget to mentioned this.

Ho voiced Maxim being a bit too effective and I don't think there is anyone reasonable who thinks otherwise especially when you compare it to the German equivalent.

I still think Panther is very good. Maybe a bit overpriced but definitely not the crap people seems to believe it is.

With the recent munition changes Volks are actually decent units because you're able to equip them all with Shrecks now + you can throw more than 3 grenades each game.


On the side note I am amazed how much of a change the munnition change gave in terms of the whole OKW experience. It looks like people who said that OKW was too resources starved were correct in the end.

Suddenly AA halftrack not reign free on the battlefield, you can get your upgrades like shrecks and G43, you can use your abilities more often.

I faced Maxim spam and was able to beat it due to flanking and grenade throws, Rifle spam is less annoying and a bit easier to deal against.

We will see how it goes but this topic is now pointless as game balance changed so kind of became irrelevant.
