Thread: Why do YOU prefer Axis over Allies?31 Jul 2015, 20:44 PM ^^ Since the dawn of recorded history the rule has been that when you're attacking, you must have an advantage of 3 to 1 or more. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Why do YOU prefer Axis over Allies?31 Jul 2015, 18:57 PM Jump back to quoted post31 Jul 2015, 18:49 PMAvNY But apparently their unit preservation and fortified lines weren't up to snuff. Nah... they waited too long for their call-ins! In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Why do YOU prefer Axis over Allies?31 Jul 2015, 06:57 AM What if I told you... that I preferred Allies...? I'm no friend to our heroic axis fanboys but this question is way too loaded for a reasonable discussion. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Fuel rationing as an approach to balancing30 Jul 2015, 22:19 PM Jump back to quoted post30 Jul 2015, 22:15 PMDustBucket If caches only benefit the player who builds them what is to prevent one or two players from taking all the cache points? And then the rage when someone decides they were owed a fuel cache and so nuke someone else's cache with arty or a call in... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: UKF - Know your units - .Emplacements30 Jul 2015, 22:15 PM "Abilities: Fire Flare – Fire a flare at the target location to gain sight." An AT gun which can spot for itself and can fire through buildings... I'm worried this might be a bad idea... In: Lobby
Thread: General World War 2 Discussion Thread29 Jul 2015, 21:42 PM Jump back to quoted post1 Jul 2015, 18:56 PMcoh2player As I promised: The subtitle is actually wrong; the largest tank battle in History was at Brody-Dubno 1941 with its 3,800 tanks. Can't wait to get my mits on this book either, but a quick check of the highly reliable source that is wikipedia (ha) says that Kursk was greater and lists the tanks the Soviets had by themselves as 5000. What gives? In: The Library
Thread: General World War 2 Discussion Thread29 Jul 2015, 21:35 PM Jump back to quoted post1 Jul 2015, 18:56 PMcoh2player Having read much of it, I highly recommend this new release. The text alone is 430 pages and is the most detailed soviet armored unit history in english. Helion will also be releasing 1st Guards Tank Army set and volume 2 of 2GTA in the future: Saw this in a store, now cursing myself that I didn't get it given the recommendation, it looked pretty good even then. In: The Library
Thread: skyrocket18 Jul 2015, 07:32 AM With respect Sugmar - google translate is good (and my suspicion is that you're translating it from Russian), but it's not great. And even then, we haven't yet established a) what this ability is and b) why we'd need to offer alternatives at all. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces Alpha Infographic16 Jul 2015, 19:16 PM Jump back to quoted post16 Jul 2015, 19:09 PMButcher You really think we´re going to type out "British Army" all the time instead of UKF? Good luck with that. "Brits" and "CW" all worked fine in the past. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces Alpha Infographic16 Jul 2015, 18:43 PM Could we please find something more interesting then "UKF"? United Kingdom Forces a) makes no sense and b) sounds terrible. Could we just call them something like the "British Army" or the "Commonwealth"? USF is kind of acceptable (USA (United States Army) would be better) but seriously, UKF? It sounds rubbish. In: COH2 Gameplay
