I don't say, that there were no "crimes" made by Red Army on libirated terrirories.There were rapes, were murderings of civils... That all happend. But, soviet high command fought against it very strict and hard. For all those crimes soldiers and officiers could be executed without court or tribunal. But it still happend, because soldiers are also humans. Some of soldiers could gone mad of that power, which armed man has on unarmed civilian, some soldiers just wanted to do revenge for lost families and friends, some saw in Europe people traitors, supporters of Reich, who also should be punished... That all was pretty individual and subjective. That's some serious sophistry there. I'm sorry but the crimes perpetrated by many in the Red Army were exactly that - crimes. I'm fascinated by the Red Army's story, it is incredible what it goes through, yet that doesn't mean I'm not blind to the fact that rapes and tacitly sanctioned looting were widespread. Sure there wasn't a deliberate policy on the part of Stalin, but it remains that the Red Army is guilty of many terrible crimes. Thread: Red army - army of criminals?23 Apr 2016, 00:45 AM Instead of reading trashy German records or watching dodgy History Channel documentaries, let's ask the penal units themselves how they were equipped. If you read the memoirs of Alexander Pyl'cyn, a veteran Penal battalion officer you will notice that the officers involved were often enough decent guys who'd recognised silly orders for what they were and disobeyed them with the result that they were sent to a penal unit. What's more, the unit, as it would be assaulting some of the most difficult objectives, would receive a mountain of specialist weapons, flamethrowers, SMGs etc, oddly enough, exactly what we're getting in game. As for being an "army of criminals". Well, someone's been listening to too much of Goebbels. Not saying many in the army aren't guilty of appalling crimes, but that's just Lord Haw-haw propaganda stuff. In: Lobby

With the result that all I see are wall to wall crappy games that end in either everyone dropping or (since I play predominantly allies) getting beaten. So, the answer of course is to get friends.
