Thread: Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 34 May 2016, 05:37 AM My reaction - yawn Not in the least interested in this sci-fi nonsense. The gameplay from what I read sounds even worse. :/ In: Other Games
Thread: How the heck does the matchmaker work?26 Apr 2016, 00:37 AM I'm feeling a bit of hate for the MM as well. I've played 6 4v4 games as allies, kept running into the same opponents (Damn you Angry Bears! Although if you can't beat 'em, join em ). Absolutely maddening. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Red army - army of criminals?23 Apr 2016, 10:12 AM Jump back to quoted post23 Apr 2016, 09:16 AMMissCommissar Same for soviets. I don't say, that there were no "crimes" made by Red Army on libirated terrirories. There were rapes, were murderings of civils... That all happend. But, soviet high command fought against it very strict and hard. For all those crimes soldiers and officiers could be executed without court or tribunal. But it still happend, because soldiers are also humans. Some of soldiers could gone mad of that power, which armed man has on unarmed civilian, some soldiers just wanted to do revenge for lost families and friends, some saw in Europe people traitors, supporters of Reich, who also should be punished... That all was pretty individual and subjective. That's some serious sophistry there. I'm sorry but the crimes perpetrated by many in the Red Army were exactly that - crimes. I'm fascinated by the Red Army's story, it is incredible what it goes through, yet that doesn't mean I'm not blind to the fact that rapes and tacitly sanctioned looting were widespread. Sure there wasn't a deliberate policy on the part of Stalin, but it remains that the Red Army is guilty of many terrible crimes. Sure there are explanations, but that doesn't detract from the fact that they are crimes. In: Lobby
Thread: Looking for mates to play with thread23 Apr 2016, 04:04 AM Preferred game mode - team games of an description - 2v2 or 4v4 for preference Requirements - voice comms and a willingness to mess around with strats Preferred time - Aussie East Coast evenings Preferred factions - allies, primarily Soviets, with a bit of brit Contact - via steam or PM (check my play card for steam info) Just... utterly sick and tired of stupid teammates that drop like flies in allied 4v4s and axis domination of (my) 4v4s. In: Lobby
Thread: Red army - army of criminals?23 Apr 2016, 00:45 AM Instead of reading trashy German records or watching dodgy History Channel documentaries, let's ask the penal units themselves how they were equipped. If you read the memoirs of Alexander Pyl'cyn, a veteran Penal battalion officer you will notice that the officers involved were often enough decent guys who'd recognised silly orders for what they were and disobeyed them with the result that they were sent to a penal unit. What's more, the unit, as it would be assaulting some of the most difficult objectives, would receive a mountain of specialist weapons, flamethrowers, SMGs etc, oddly enough, exactly what we're getting in game. As for being an "army of criminals". Well, someone's been listening to too much of Goebbels. Not saying many in the army aren't guilty of appalling crimes, but that's just Lord Haw-haw propaganda stuff. In: Lobby
Thread: Wanted - Aussie 4v4ers23 Apr 2016, 00:37 AM Thank you! I think I had the same unfortunate blindness that others had. :/ In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Wanted - Aussie 4v4ers22 Apr 2016, 07:59 AM I recently jumped back into 4v4 (yes... I know...) and boy was I appalled by what I saw. Bots? Check. AFKers? Check. Incompetent allies? Check. With the result that all I see are wall to wall crappy games that end in either everyone dropping or (since I play predominantly allies) getting beaten. So, the answer of course is to get friends. So hey guys, any Aussies out there who are looking to round out their 4v4 team? In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: What's up with the officials RELIC forums ???19 Mar 2016, 14:06 PM If its a totally new forum I'm all ears, might mean I'm not banned from there anymore. In: Lobby
