I've played you in 2v2 before and watch your replays you post - your an axis player, stop mindlessly defending these issues... its going to get attention from Relic regardless so you might aswel be neutral before you destroy your reputation even more.
I played all 4 factions and beat Luvnest and Siberian with Allies last week in spite of I am not actively playing this game anymore. The replay and cast is still here.
All you need is learning how to fuck up Volksblob with lolAOE and it is very easy. Vet 5 or not, with screck or not, they still die, so who cares the stupid number of how many incoming accuracy of whatever, infantry just die to those crap and micro can't help against those instant squad wipe. This is the main reason why I half-quitted COH2. The squad spacing of the recent patch is UNACCPETBALE. |
And get into the top 20, play againts OKW top 10 or so, and then see that volksgrenadier blobbing indeed is a problem.

For 120 muni, for double bar, all you get is higher CQ dps, from ~30 to ~38 and long range from ~7,5 to ~10. How it is OP for 120 muni?
Double BAR is a huge waste of ammo.
I suggest you guys just stop theory crafting with those bullshit numbers, play the game and get better, get into top 50s and tell us again HOW OP is Volks.
At least in high level, vet 5 Volks vet can't really save themselves from getting one shot squad wiped in those stupid way, nor they can hold the line like elite infantry.

Yes we discussed this and majority of the people want an over haul on the Volks or OKW in general. The only person in that thread was claiming VG fail vs other mainline infantry was you. You are completely disregarding the fact that Vet 5 system on a 235 MP infantry makes it a bit over the top compared to Vet 3 Rifles (280MP) and Cons (don't even talk about 240 MP cons in late game performance).

You have many replacement for Obers.
Panzerfusiliers, Falsch, even Volks spam followed by Jaegers.
Jadgpanzer is as good at killing vehilces as Panther.
Puma can work wonders.
Right used AA truck is a nightmare.
But in the end you will always blob Volks+Obers+Panther.
You can't say that about SU and OST because they are encouraging to use combined arms. I mean, you can't spam Grens, Grens, Grens, Grens... into Tiger, right?
Soviets can't spam cons into T34/85.
Even USF can't spam Rifles without any support. You need 57mm or M20 or AA or Captain and then, you might spam Shermans or M8+Jackson combo.
OKW is just bullshit faction.

As for the rest of the thread, I don't know how you balance volks without throwing the whole of OKW out of alignment. Giving shreks to sturms just makes a dangerous early game unit into an equally dangerous late game unit and make Volks pretty meaningless.
On the other hand, Volks as they are are simply ridiculous.
I don't understand those saying that volks are bad everywhere however. They're extremely good at long range combat. They beat cons long range easily and against rifles I see them doing more damage to them as well.
I think however it would be better for the game if the OKW blob were nerfed into the ground rather than if it were left as it is. OKW as a faction currently, especially in team games, is simply imbalanced no matter how much you play with the stats.
The core is rotten.
Possibly you would see 3 Volks from 3 players joining a blob in large team game, making them stupidly strong, then more, more and more. Yeah I saw 4v4 there are at least 25 Volks crawling around, this is disgusting.
But if you play them in 1v1, you would know they are not that useful and you are forced to call in Jager / fusilier / Ober to help their useless Kar98 shooting. |
