Thread: Hetzer coming? Ambush Assault Doctrine28 Sep 2014, 02:53 AM Seems like a new mech assault doctrine but with this you never need to tech out of T1. Heavy T1 with Shrek Grens + STUG e's + Hetzer seems like a very solid army. Given that it calls the Hetzer a light tank destroyer (which I know it is, but relic didn't need to inculude this in the description), I have a feeling that it will be a glass cannon kind of thing instead of the armored beast we got with PE. Probably medium armored front, light armored back, low hp pool but high penetration and range. Who knows though, and who knows if this doctrine will even make it? Could be cool, any sort of new gameplay is good so w/e I'll fuck with it. Especially if it is free somehow. In: COH2 Gameplay

There are 4 factions in this game, why limit yourself just to 1 or 2? I didn't play Soviet till like 2 months after I started playing because I was more comfortable playing Ostheer, and quickly found that Soviets were my favorite faction. In: COH2 Gameplay

Cheesy strats and blobs only work until you get a counter out. Then 9 times out of 10 the other player will have no idea what to do because blobbing/cheesing is the only thing they know how to do. Turrent Jam sucks compared to a complete stun. Ostheer Pumas are great against Sov T3, and all Ami tanks. And you can skip teching, and get P4 command for AI and Puma/PaKs for AT. It's situational, but can be highly effective if done right. Just know that your late game is going to suffer against heavy Soviet tanks. In: Ostheer Strategies

I think maybe a very slight armor reduction to make them worse early game, but only very slight. Otherwise M3s would be guaranteed kills against any truck that left the base early game, and I don't want OBW to be forced into doing that. In: COH2 Balance

A squelch option would be nice, but I don't think we'll ever see one. Just try to power through it, it's my experience that as your rank gets better, there are less and less assholes.
