A smart suggestion made earlier (forgot who) about how to fix the P4 if the Dev's wont revert the scatter nerf: Buff the MG upgrade across all tanks. And don't just give it the placebo effect of "increased suppression" (which is so weak it's not useful). It needs to kill. Give it either a big accuracy boost, a rate of fire increase, or DMG increase, or some mix of the three. It's the smartest solution. It would help with the Stug as well.
The German meta is heavy T1/T2 mix, skip T3 entirely, hold out for T4. Right now, the SU-85 makes the entire T3 building obsolete. Pre-patch, T3 building was useful only because the P4 could adequately deal with the soviet hoards and, unlike the Ostwind, potentially dispatch an Su85 (potentially). While the P4 is still able to potentially dispatch an Su85 it can't/isn't handling infantry worth a damn.
Anyone doing the risk/reward math sees there's no reason to build T3 building in the current state. |
Germans have hard enough time dealing with Soviet infantry, they didn't need an anti infantry nerf nor can Germans afford it. Furthermore, the Soviet T34 being buffed against german infantry is even more baffling, it's already very very excellent.
OPEL was nerfed way too hard. You increased the cost (substantially), while decreasing the reward (substantially), while leaving the thing with almost no health or life so it still can be killed in 2 seconds. Ummm. Yeah. Boy, I wish you would take that sort of 'balanced' approach to the Su85 or ANY Soviet unit for that matter. |
Because one is still just as likely to field a Brummbar as before this change. That is to say: not at all. It's a welcome change and one I happen to agree with but also totally irrelevant. |
Clearly an unconstructive post. If you actually took time to read the notes, it is a buff to the doctrinal t34-85. Axis also received buffs to the brummbar and a minor buff to the stug.
Clearly you didn't comprehend my 'unconstructive' (your words) post. Axis received other buffs but those buffs are irrelevant and not worth mentioning. They effectively change nothing. You can disagree. And since you obviously do disagree the constructive (since you're so concerned with constructive responses) response would be to explain to me, in detail using your own words (hard for you I see), why you disagree. |
So we have a buffed T34, T70, and a nerfed P4 & Ostwind... all while the SU-85 remains unchanged.
GG Relic. |
Your complaints about balance before were somewhat justified. But now with this new "guards are op" thread, with nobody ever making this claim before, id say you definitely lost your credibility.
Credibility? And who are you again? Oh, nobody. Thanks for reminding me.
Oh, and given the length and depth of discussion and support of my other threads I'd describe them as more than 'somewhat justified'. But I guess when you (i'm referring to you) walk into a thread simply for a personal attack and not in any way add to the OP discussion, it says all we need to know.
Credibility... ha! |
It would be far more useful for you to make a post in the strategy forum saying "I have trouble against Guards, what should I be doing differently." All of these balance complaints are getting absurd.
This is a balance discussion on Guards Rifle and belongs right here, where I posted it, in the balance section. If I had trouble with Guards and wanted to know how to "handle them" I'd have asked that. I'm not calling for nerfs or yelling imbalance on Guards. I simply raised the question of balance with Guards, framed it, and placed it in context. Your post however, belongs in the troll bin.
If you think Guards Rifle are fine or not fine, then make a case for that. Or don't. But stop trolling. |
Sure, the German sniper is more viable in team games. And so is the Soviet Sniper. Even more so. What's your point?
And is this being looked at or staying as-is? |
This remains one of the glaringly obvious imbalances of the game. Still. After all this time.
The German sniper needs a cost reduction and should 'cook' faster (spawn faster).
Better accuracy wouldn't hurt, like, 100%. Every shot should kill, even retreating units. If Soviet snipers are still allowed to clown-car around sniping with accuracy then my one single sniper should have his shots connect every single time, all the time, no matter the conditions.
Failing those things, the German Sniper really needs something else. Perhaps a rate-of-fire bonus to German snipers that are in green cover. Something. Anything to make it more viable. As it stands the game is too heavily tilted against using him. Soviet infantry run so fast, a Soviet player closes the distance to him after the first shot always forcing a retreat.
German snipers can't kite Soviet infantry like Soviet snipers can kite German infantry. Rifle grenades work only if your opponent is dumb-as-rocks enough not to move his unit two paces. Not to mention the largest Soviet advantage being its squad size, it takes far far less time for a Soviet sniper to make a german squad combat ineffective than a German sniper to do the same to a Soviet squad. No one ever talks about that. The supposed rate-of-fire increase of German over Soviet sniper does not make up for this. It needs something else. |
Soviet mines are too cheap. |
