For what could work as emotes: I guess anything iconic, even memish COH2 related stuff would be cool. People tend to imply their opinions with images. At some level "where is my luck in this game" has got its position, whether or not it is hatred or not. Iconic unit/ability/upgrade/feature/game mechanic could work as an emote. If that gets too boring, Ginnungagap's RNG Manipulator is a good example of coming up with something completely original.
