I'm pretty sure both sections and volks (and possibly riflemen with 2 commanders) could do that too. Nothing unique to cons about that.

That's not what I meant. I mean the game plan of soviet and ostruppen ost are similar, 1.get better map control wit more(but weaker) filed presence. 2.hold that ground 3.Pop out LV's 4.hold out till heavier stuff ostruppen ost does it well and it's difficult to deal with. the T70 is a lot more agile and more dangerous than the other allied LV's. Stuart's not as fast or as strong, AEC is not gonna threaten ost infantry (hell even Puma's AI is better than the AEC's), AAHT is slow and more of a mobile supression platform. Like answer me this your a much better player, what do you think is the best allied LV in the game??? It's not the deal out the LV is problem is how much damage the LV can do while it's being dealt with. In: COH2 Balance |

snip I 'm not even a decent player so I didn't wanna say anything but... I don't know man 4 ptrs seems a bit much. These things deflection damage, that's a lot of continuous chip. Even if they can't kill tanks outright that's a lot of time a tank gonna be spending in repairs. And unlike things like shrecks squads you can't just charge them and crush them they have sactchel(they'll eventually have em in your design). Seems like a bit too much for me. And the gate keeping LV thing, Yeah the difference between ostruppen ostheer and soviets is gap between early game and LV + elite infantry. I don't know about you but T70's are quite a bit stronger than 222's yet the earlier arrival of that + the PG's make them very difficult to deal with. T70 will never be made as weak as 222's so i don't wanna imagine what the impact of an earlier (albiet weaker) t70 be. Also the su76 is more than capable enough to fend off p4's and deal with infantry(zis can't do the infantry part) earlier su76 might get hard to deal with tbf. In: COH2 Balance |

Did you do test to see weather the combat performance is the same(similar) instead of using words????? I'm ok with the changes(not that it's actually relevant) if combat performance remains similar(you know 5-man grens are supposed to be able to stand up to allied elite infantry or not be total pushovers). m8 that's a 20% ish decrease in both close max range. That is not small though. Did you do a test to see weather their combat performance remains similar. In: COH2 Balance |
