Thread: Pershing Vet 2 Grenade Can Kill StuG, OP or Intended? 31 Oct 2015, 02:35 AM Grenades generally do 80 damage and a stug has 560 health. After taking 3 160 damage shots (general tank damage) a stug will have 80 health left. Grenades also generally have enough pen to push it over the 3% ignore pen chance limit. So less about being intended or a bug and more about the stats in the background building off each other (stug having 560 vs 640 health, grenades dealing exactly the difference, and grenades having a non ignorable penetration chance). The damage radius and suppression is a lot less important now that they tend to hit dead on (although probably too much with the firing angle nerf). Admittedly I already constantly tend to, micro, and reposition packs/isgs so I don't exactly know how big a deal auto facing is to the average player. In: COH2 Gameplay

With every post I LOL at the fact that lelic won't just change them back to pre super ninja buff state where nobody had issues with them, and in fact even thought pak howitzer was UP. But that would require admitting failure, so we get this shitty nerf. Maybe we should make mortars and mortar pits have the same artificial micro too? I mean its only fair. Why should one artillery unit be gimped but not the other? Sure it doesn't have suppression, but its also 1/3rd cheaper and comes one tier earlier. Nobody had issues with them pre brits? They were awful. With the pack you could barrage a MG and it could just stand there and without a care in the world. What's the point of spending near 400 manpower on an artillery piece if it can't reliably break a defensive line? The pack and ISG are basically ZIS guns that have barrage as their default fire, so they should be microed like one. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Sedghammer's American Support Doctrine10 Oct 2015, 03:49 AM So I've been going RE(starting) - RE- RE - Rifle - LT - MG - Halftrack instead of building a fuel cache because I figure a RE squad is a better investment fighting and economy wise (just one capped point puts you ahead). Seems to bear out by the fact that I'm floating 300+ fuel at the end of the game lol. I've also been going airborne and calling in a pathfinder at 1 cp (around the time the LT is building), and using paratroopers to replace the rifles I'd otherwise build. It's rare that I have the manpower to actually get a sherman and do the swap trick though. In: US Forces Strategies

I think this is the fundamental difference. Not only is the ISG basically a setup and forget unit with it's larger range and arc of fire, OKW base buildings basically make a part of the map unassailable (to a point). The pack is more damaging but it's much more micro intensive and fragile. In: COH2 Balance
