Thread: Is it time for some new 4v4 maps?7 Nov 2021, 04:22 AM I would love to see one last map patch, there have been lots of good automatch worthy maps made since the last one. If possible just add more maps and more vetos so people can play what they want. In: Mapping Discussion
Thread: (6) Calais Battery28 Oct 2021, 20:51 PM Steam Workshop Link Set outside of the French city of Calais, there were several artillery batteries built. Many of these fortifications still exist to this day in the surrounding towns and fields. This map takes inspiration from the Batterie Grosser Kurfurst and Batterie Todt located at Cap Gris-Nez, the closest point on mainland Europe to Britain. These emplacements were 280mm and 380mm battleship turrets placed in concrete, and were used for anti-ship defense in the English Channel, as well as shooting the English coast across the channel. Calais and the these artillery positions were liberated by Canadian Forces in 1944 as apart of Operation Undergo. In: Map Sharing

Implement a new feature that I call "Predictive Retreat" This should be implemented in the worldbuilder. Just drawing a debug line on the calculated retreat path should be enough for inside the worldbuilder, so mappers can see where units will pass on there map and therefore can determine the flow of the map better. You can already do this with the Ruler tool. When it gives you the true distance and the pathfinding distance, the pathfinding distance is basically the same as a retreat path when measured from a base sector. In: COH3 Central
Thread: Cannot create Forward HQs in Ploesti13 Aug 2021, 15:36 PM This is intentional to not have such strong buildings as forward HQ buildings. The territory under them is essentially the same as the out of bounds area, aka not connected to any points at all. This is a feature on some other Whiteflash maps such as Alliance of Defiance. On the right is the footprint of the building with all the objects in the worldbuilder turned off. And notice it is the same dark transparency as the out of bounds area on the left. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: (4) Flakturm8 Aug 2021, 14:41 PM Workshop Link Set in the Augarten Park in Vienna, where in 1944 the germans built a pair of flak towers to deter the allies from doing air raids. These two flak towers still stand to this day. This is meant to be a competitive 2v2 map. It is around the same size as the larger 2v2 maps, and features a whiteflash-esq nexus/crossroads 6 standard points per side. Has more centerally located high fuel and muni than a typical 2v2 map, but this is done to offset having 6 standard points. Any feedback is appreciated, and nothing in the map is set in stone. One thing that I've had initial feedback on, but no testing to back up concerns has been the raised VP in the middle. I have done a bit of testing on it and to me it seems like it will be worse than it is, just give it a try. In: Map Sharing
Thread: Turn Off Lights at specific time in match?27 Jul 2021, 01:55 AM Jump back to quoted post26 Jul 2021, 22:32 PMTric You can do it via transitions, and they have a timer for transitions entirely. This used to be the work around to have a 1 second transition at the start of a match to turn on lights. So you can do it this way and set a timer. However I remember this being an extremely buggy and water-downed version of what was available in vcoh. I have transitions set up to go from just before dawn to midday, and the lights already turn off in worldbuilder when I run the preview of the transitions. So I don't really think the all of the transition menu is working. Unless you can show me a map where its working, then I'll go look there In: Mapping Discussion
Thread: Turn Off Lights at specific time in match?23 Jul 2021, 20:22 PM I have my streetlights turned on via this bit of scar code in my maps .scar file `function OnInit() EGroup_SetAnimatorState(eg_streetlights, "Light", "On") end Scar_AddInit(OnInit)` Is there anyway to turn this off at a specific time? Either via action markers, or any bits of scar coding. I noticed there was a commander to clear entity groups, and I thought that might work, but I don't know how to implement it at a specific time. Thread: Unit & Ability Feedback18 Jul 2021, 20:22 PM I agree and disagree with a few things on this list, but I do want to point out specifically that Partisans have been used in the most recent 1v1 tournament hosted by AECoH, New Battlegrounds, numerous times, even in the final best of 5, and to great effect. Both AT and ppsh partisans were used, and all of the commander's abilities saw use. It is in no way a weak commander. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: CoH 3 German Campaign!!14 Jul 2021, 00:48 AM Very few games have you actually play as nazis in the campaign, so I doubt relic will buck the trend. Especially in campaigns that want to have characters and stories you can be sympathetic towards, which relic seems to want to do with coh3's In: COH3 Central
Thread: Tactical pause is working 14 Jul 2021, 00:47 AM Tactical Pause is a no-brainer for single player. Its meant to be fun and is the game mode relic intends for everyone to play, so there's no reason anyone should have to have good micro or high APM to play the campaign. Idk how anyone ever thought it was coming to multiplayer tho, how would that even work lol? In: COH3 Central
