Riflemen need a little buff Riflemen buffs would completly brake the game at this point. USF was weak before all the changes but now they are actually the best allied faction for 1v1 and 2v2 (depending on map and match-up). No way should they get a buff to their mainline infantry. In: Lobby |

I don´t really like it because blobbing is simply the most efficient strategy basically until late game. The game seems way more cancerous than before the commander revamp. Ostheer is completly fucked at the moment by the USF changes (especially 0 CP Pathfinders). No one even plays Ost anymore in 1v1 or 2v2 if they are trying to win. I personally think Pathfinders should be 1 CP again, Jägers 2 CP. That would fix some issues IMO. UKF in general seems fine now after Valentine got limited to 1. Unfortunately the assymetic balance that we have in COH2 is always going to mean winning a match largely depends on matchup and map. OKW doesn´t really stand a chance on open maps against UKF for example. Yet if you play OKW against UKF on a close range map it´s almost a default win for OKW if skill levels are equal. In: Lobby |
Thread: Countering Conscripts/Penals/Shock Troops17 Feb 2019, 11:09 AM
I think it might be safe to say one of the tougher things to overcome playing as OKW is trying to counter Soviet infantry troops. As OKW you outnumber everything but pure Conscript builds, so no Soviets don´t have "more units" if both players play equally well. Sure if you lose every engagement and bleed MP like crazy you will get outnumbered but that´s your own fault. Conscripts suck unless upgraded with PPSH on close quarter maps. So just getting Volks and later 1-2 Obers will put you in a good position. Most Soviets go T1 against OKW. So the key is to shut down the M3 in the early minutes. You can do that by just blobbing your units up and mass assaulting the M3. You can also lay mines. I wouldn´t get a Rak because it slows your infantry play down too much. Never send lone units too far away from the rest of the army when you know enemy has an M3 because he can just wipe them on retreat. Get Battlegroup HQ ASAP for Fausts and then rush a Flak HT because PTRS doesn´t work well against it because of suppression. This also forces your opponent to upgrade PTRS which makes Penals terrible at infantry combat. Once you have the Flak HT out you need to get 2 Raketenwerfers to protect it from SU 76 and T70. Never let the Flak HT alone, always protect it with at least one Volks (snare) + one Rak. Dont drive the Flak HT around blind corners where Penals might hide to satchel it. Then go Obers + Panzer 4 both rek Penals hard. Don´t build Kübelwagen against Soviets because it just dies to the M3. That being said, on close quarter maps the Flak HT isnt worth it and you are better off going Mech, building LVs and later getting a Command Panther without T4. To deal with the T70 you lay mines on roads and use Raketenwerfers. If you decide to go Mech you can also get a Puma to have a mobile counter. It´s really not that complicated, just a matter of micro and positioning in order to get the job done. Forget about the AA emplacements, they are not terribly bad but they delay your tanks or LVs too much. Especially considering you play 1v1 where mobility is really important. In: OKW Strategies |

Airborne and Reckon commander where designed to bypass the USF tech restriction. You still need to use fuel to get MG/AT-gun the only difference is the lower price. And the built time of the officer units is pretty long so dropping in an MG/at-gun is still a good thing. In: COH2 Balance |

Why can´t it just be an AI specialist unit? It´s not under powered as it is, I don´t see why it should be buffed and made OP. In: COH2 Balance |

Alot of the so called "OP" stats ppl claim the JLI, has, they've had for the past 4 years, why wernt they OP then too? Because they were stuck in a bad doctrine and had insane reinforcement costs plus 2 CP requirement. Now they got cheaper, available more early, added first strike bonus and improved scoped g43 accuracy vs heavy cover and garrisons. In: COH2 Balance |

Well it would be ok if Jägers were priced like the elite unit that they are. Instead they have the price of mainline infantry and on top of that can be spawned out of buildings + get camo + get sprint + get first strike bonus + lowest RA in the entire game at vet 5. The one thing that is for sure is that a slight cost increase and a longer cool down won´t change much of anything. Which means we have to play against Jäger Lights almost every game. And in the games that I played in today Jäger Lights were just used like before the "hotfix" so it doesn´t seem like people just stop using the unit now that it got "BALANCED" lol In: COH2 Balance |
