I too love commander diversity, but it seems a lot of people just say "get an elephant" as OST to deal with 60 range TDs. Jaegar armor is a stupid commander and I'd love if they'd nerf the hell out of it. Instead though we honestly get stuck in the same toxic 2v2+ metas if you get your soul stuck on rails and metal or alliance of defiance. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tiger nerf11 Apr 2020, 17:19 PM I think a large part of the issue was those tests were run on a bugged tiger AoE model instead of the one was the supposed to be implemented in the previous patch. The tiger overperformed heavily because its gun was far stronger than it should have been. Then without extensive testing to see how the tiger should have performed, gave it not 1, but 2 (3 in the case of OKW tiger) additional nerfs to the tiger ontop of further lowering its AoE that had barely been tested. I propose that we take the Howi out of captain and swap it with the calliope. Two birds with one stone scott = doctrinal calliope = nondoc this fixes literally half of all of USFs issues with blobs and the scott. i'd say just nerf the aoe of the pak howi. Still annoying anywhere you put it if its wiping units with 2 shells. In: COH2 Balance

What's even better is that I made that graph, so I should be able to read it. I should have some time to update it this weekend, though. Any other suggestions? It looks mostly correct off the top of my head on these values. I can't say I know all the units veterancy values such as AT guns, but I trust that if you've pulled these from a semi recent source they're probably accuracte. AT guns have not been changed besides the raketen in a long time. The Su-76 pen values are 160/170/180 far/mid/near, and not 200/180 near/far as displayed in the graph. Pershing armor needs to be lowered from 300 to 270 IS-2 armor now needs to be lowered from 375 to 340 since was lowered in patch today. Jackson armor needs to be lowered from 130 to 110 "" "" "" "" "" "". I suggest replacing the "Panther/stug/OST p4 vet 3" to "vet 2" since all of the armor buffs on these units get their armor at vet 2 and not vet 3. And other tanks could be added as I suggested above. It's good as a quick reference sheet. In: COH2 Balance

If you look at that chart, it's pretty clear that except for the M36, USF has nothing with decent pen. Their 2nd best option is the M1, with 150 pen at 60 range (far). 150 pen in CoH2 is basically useless; it'll work against "light" mediums, like a STUG or a stock P4, but that's it. It won't do anything against the pretty standard 230+ armor that axis brings to the table almost every game. By adding in the M10 as a non-doc unit, suddenly there's a choice. Instead of either rushing straight to an M36, you can instead opt for a cheaper M10, that will likely deal with mediums just as well as the current M36. This is good for USF. It gives build variety, and also means you're not forced to save for the ~140f TD every round. The point isn't to replace the M36, or to nerf the M36 to be an "expensive M10". BOTH units would be available, but they would be specialized; the M10 for fighting mediums, and the M36 for fighting heavies. Just wanna point this out, you're reading the pen values incorrectly on the graph. 150 is the near pen and 130 is the max range pen. It's near->far from left to right on it. I don't like that way but that is how it was made. This graph also seems to be slightly dated. The JT armor is no longer 525 and is 450. Although I didn't notice any other wrong values. Doesn't include KV series from soviets for some reason or a lot of the sherman variants. So I think this graph is helpful, it has its downsides. In: COH2 Balance

Who knew that was coming?! No but really they play better now, still gimmicky but better. Their lategame is still top notch. In: COH2 Balance
