All the problems that the game has are fixed. No, better say forgotten.
If you want your kid to stop crying/complaining, give it a cookie. The easy way.
The game has still so many bugs, this patch (its not a patch, believe me) is a slap in the face.
I love this game, its the only game i play but what Relic is doing sometimes since release, WOW, just WOW.
So according to you they are forbidden from ever releasing another minor patch ever again until the balance patch goes live? What are you? 5 years old?
As someone with experience in game dev I can honestly say that making different forward and reverse speeds is not rocket science. I don't want to trivialize anyone's work, and I am sure the engine handling unit movement is not simple (see also: the pathfinding problems, 3-point turn plans and whatnot) - but make no mistake, it would have been an easy thing to code in at the beginning of the project if Relic really wanted to.
Exactly. Saying "the engine doesn't support it" is like saying "humanity has not reached the required technological level to allow this". I mean you're not an engineer from 1890 trying to realize Jules Verne's designs for traveling to the moon. The correct explanation would be "it takes us more man-hours to implement it than we're willing to dedicate to a game that is 3 years old."
This is a stupid way to make a comparison. If you'd actually played much of the Preview Mod, you'd know these factions are very different. To demonstrate just how stupid this comparison is, I will do the same thing but in reverse.
Pios - cheaper Sturms with flamethrower upgrade
Grens - Volks with longer range grenade and better long range firepower with MG upgrade
MG - doesn't need tech to unlock
Mortar - ISG but better because available earlier and can retreat
PG - double schreck OMG
Pak - Raketen with longer range, better penetration, stun ability
222 - available earlier than any OKW light vehicle, clearly way better
e.t.c....
You can make anything seem better than anything that way. It doesn't represent what actually happens in the game
Ostheer has the easiest comeback doctrine in the game: Mechanized assault.
Gee, you wouldn't happen to have any replays/videos of mech assault being used in 1v1, would you? I've been trying to find some for ages. Despite being one of the most used doctrines I just don't seem to witness anyone picking it.
So I've been studying the ideal commander loadout for 1v1 and a few doctrines keep coming up, mobile defense and mech assault being two of them. I currently roll with mobile defense, spearhead and elite troops, but I keep thinking about replacing elite troops with mech assault.
I love mobile defense for the panic puma, but I've been reading that people sometimes use the Stug E instead, and I don't get why?
It's decent vs light vehicles and in theory vs infantry, but it doesn't really seem to hit anything (infantry I mean). Obviously it's useless vs any kind of medium tank. Also, it's got no turret and turns like a whale. Finally, the Puma has access to panzer tactician implicitly, while the Stug E does not. I've used the Stug E a couple of times, but I really fail to see what it's good for. If anyone has a 1v1 replay where Stug E's (and the entire doctrine) got used effectively, I'd really appreciate it.
