I thought you may find this interesting though: "The green beret was the official headdress of the British Commandos of the Second World War. " "The maroon beret is a military beret and has been an international symbol of elite airborne forces since it was chosen for British airborne forces in World War II. Thread: Could someone watch this and tell me what i did wrong24 Aug 2016, 18:45 PM Im no strategist, but I'd like to give my opinion: Conscripts do scale pretty well when you think about what role they play mid-late game. For example, conscripts are a great unit to screen a lot of more valuable troops. AT guns, Maxims, elite infantry like Guards and Shock troops. All of these units can have a unit of conscripts in front of them to provide line of site, and to give the enemy something cheaper to shoot at. Also, all your vehicles can be very well screened by conscripts- you can essentially make a bubble around your vehicles, preventing enemy armour from rushing in because of the threat of an AT grenade. Combined with the oorah! ability, this makes conscripts a good mid game unit to have- they are not very strong, but their 6 man presence is enough to cause everything from enemy infantry to axis armour back away a bit because of the added threat they pose. Early game: they are core infantry. Mod-late game: wonderful support units Hope that helps a bit In: Replay Reviews

I'm pleased to hear you are ok with it though! To clarify: I definitely think that the Konoe infantry with their 75 munitions lmg upgrade are too powerful. I don't want to compare your units to those of other factions, as I know you are trying to make the Japanese a early game oriented faction, but 3 Lmgs for 75 munitions really does skew the balance heavily. I'll upload a video tomorrow or Monday showing you what else I think. I'm glad you are open to advice/criticism/suggestions, as I do believe I have some to offer. If I pick up on anything else, I'll let you know. Also, perhaps we could play a few games including the Japanese, as I would like to test how a living player reacts to such an early game oriented faction. In: Lobby
Thread: Japan faction "proposal" with mod.19 Aug 2016, 23:14 PM Fino, I have just spent my evening playing your Japan mod. I found it to be pretty awesome. I would love to do some videos on the mod for my youtube channel. What do you think of that? As for the mod itself, I'm no expert, but some elements seem pretty out of balance. I think the lack of heavy tanks is NOT a problem, but the anti infantry power you have given the Konoe is pretty earth shattering. Perhaps the AI just plays too easy as even on expert AI, I seem to have no problem taking and holding the map and preventing late game vehicles from even coming out. If you are cool with me making videos about your mod/playing it, I would be happy to point out any more suggestions I have on the vids thanks for making this, as I really appreciate the time and effort that has gone into it. Just to give you an idea of what this replay has, I will give a few brief details: My Rank at time of replay: Top 400 (Level 11) Overview:A close game, the winner of which is incredibly difficult to predict as there are many twists and turns for both players. Main features: -Very close VP count -Use of Commandoes to hold a VP when VP count was low -Use of a Centaur to great effect -Use of a Jadgpanzer to great effect -Other vehicles include the AEC Armoured Car, Firefly and the Cromwell as well as the Panzer IV.
