If your sturmofficer is in place, where opposing infantry can just focus him down, then you've failed with positioning.

It should never be anywhere close to be in range of opposing small arms, only exception is the time he uses abilities, at all other time he should be slightly behind.

And the buff is powerful enough to justify retreat on kill.
Its ultimate infantry blob gimmick, permanent and always on.

With 2 extra squads, you have over 20% extra dps, with 3, over 30%.

Seriously they're so freaking bad it's not even funny. PPSH cons do a comparable job while being more cost efficient AND come in a meta doctrine. Why would I use Shocks? Their DPS isn't Ranger/Paras+Thompsons level of good(ask any Axis main what happens if angry Americans with Thompsons come charging). Their armor and smoke grenade are the only things going for them but why would I care? Guards handle everything Shocks can but better PLUS they can counter LV meta.

Buff their lethality to make them worth using, currently Guards>PPSH Cons>>>>>>>>>>>>Shocks when it comes to what's worth using.

AVRE can be countered by well-micro'd vehicles (except p4 unless AVRE unsupported) and long range at positioning with support.
