I think not having doctrines with minor factions for the major factions was a missed opportunity for Relic. You could have French and Italian units without designing a whole faction around them. ![]() In: Lobby |

I'm a little confused as to what the ost tech really does?? can some one explain. Seems like nothings really changed, other than me having to wait 15 more fule to get ass gren 6th man upgrade. Well I said it wrong in my recent post and forgot about the existence of BP3 ![]() I find it interesting that's it's getting implementented and it will ease Ostheer's transition into the lategame, but it also indirectly nerfs the Stug E and Puma even further with a 15 fuel delay. The Puma wasn't very prolific in the first place, but I think early Stug E still had some merit. I'd try giving the Stug E a pintle option to fit its later timing and change Puma to be a limited call-in like the Valentine, but other solutions could work of course. In: Lobby |

Maybe at the bottom ranks where players have no idea how to keep optimum range with their tanks. If we compared all tanks like this Jacksons wouldn't be a balance problem. It would be better to compare Stugs to teching and getting a Panther, you might see its value then. ![]() In: COH2 Balance |

Then compare those STG Assault Grenadiers with STG Volks: - 5 stg's vs 3 kars + 2 stg's - 0,63 RA at vet 3 vs 0,77 RA at vet 3 - 28 mp vs 25 mp reinforcement cost - 280/60 cost vs 260/60 cost You'd have elite infantry performance at mainline infantry cost. The only way to remedy that with their current design would be by raising the upgrade and reinforcement cost allot, which kinda shows they're not the right unit to make this change to. Severely lowering manpower income when over 100 pop is the simplest and least contrived solution I've heard yet. I hope such a thing is possible with CoH2's engine. Those who think pop cap abuse is only relevant against campers are simply wrong. I especially see allot of Korean top players abuse it whenever they can to get triple Jacksons or Pershing + double Jackson. I might return with some example casts once I get home. I am, which is why I know the distinction between target size and received accuracy. That's still the wrong terminology I'm pretty sure: - Rangers have 0,73 target size - Rangers gain -29% received accuracy with veterancy - Rangers their target size becomes 0,52 Not using RA and target size synonymously only makes discussions more confusing tbh. I think even in the patch notes target size is referred to as received accuracy: Personally I only use target size when referring to tanks. In: COH2 Balance |

This actually sounds like a good idea for a vet 1 ability instead of the "HEAT shell" meme it has now. To sum it up: - Stug can set itself up for longer range - Activation time of a few seconds - Provides a 20-25% bonus to range - Stug G an only rotate - Damage reduced from 160 to 140 (description: "blah lower velocity rounds blah") Might just be a way to make the Stug more useful in team games (read: provide some alternative to pure Panther spam) without affecting 1v1 too much. Post 1v1/2v2 replays of interesting non-meta Ostheer strategies. Here are some ideas to get the ball rolling: - Pioneers and MG42's into double 250. - 222 spam into Pak43. - 10 minute Ostwind with fuel drops. - Base rush with Schrecked Pgrens with smoke bombs to make them untargetable. - Sim City with Stug E's, trenches and bunkers. - Triple Osttruppen with double Sniper. - Hulled down Panther with Command tank. - Arty Officer to spam the aura ability with a Pgren blob and double barrage with a Pwerfer. - Double flame Halftrack. - MG42 spam with ambush camouflage. Any replays with good use of an underused unit like the 251 or ability like Ambush Camouflage would also be appreciated. Requesting this because my PC broke and my laptop can't handle ranked, so I'm in desperate need of CoH2 dope. ![]() |
