Thread: problem with OPW flak truck base12 Aug 2015, 15:05 PM For USF my favorite go-to is Rifle Company: Rifle Flare + 2 AT Gun + Screening Troops. Easy spotting and it'll be dead before they realize it unless he has troops nearby. For Soviets SU-85 sniping with focus sight and/or the buffed ML-20 Howitzer usually works wonders. Otherwise just spam mortar barrage and wear it slowly down. But yeah, you quickly find out what NOT to do with Tier 4 building after playing as OKW or at least I did lol In: COH2 Balance
Thread: How to deal with blobs11 Aug 2015, 20:55 PM MG34 that doesn't shoot popcorn and a 5th Squad member for the .50 Cal would be a nice start. I feel like even with the the recent buffs that they both have problems anti-blobbing either due to low damage or being easily decrewed respectively. I feel like both the WFA factions are more subject to facing blobbing because of screwy HMGs that are either non-doctrinal or locked behind a tier that has fallen out of favor in the current meta (Lt.). Thread: USF vs OKW11 Aug 2015, 20:26 PM The one thing that I found really helps against OKW is keeping in mind the accuracy penalty for moving infantry. Strumpios have great wipe potential but if you keep your Rifles standing still (preferable in cover) while the Strumpios close in then you have a much better chance of winning a 1vs1 fight at the start since the OKW squad has the Accuracy penalty. This helps with finishing retreating squads too. IE don't chase after the squad. Semi Auto Rifles (Rifleman, G43, Penals) have better moving Accuracy I do believe and you can use this to your advantage as well. Against KubalJesus I'll sometimes make use of Rifle Company and go Rifle, Rifle, Vet. Rifle. general idea is to use the first two to cap and then once you bump into the Kubal use the Vet Rifle's AT Grenade to finish him quickly before he knows you have a Vet Rifle already. Against OKW I usually always have a buddy system where a 2nd Rifle/RE is always within flanking distance. In: US Forces Strategies
Thread: USF vs OKW11 Aug 2015, 17:58 PM I wouldn't recommend using Rifle Zooks to counter Flak Track. Safer to go Captain and get an AT Gun or even the Stuart can work if AT isn't lurking around. If you went Lt and got surprised you want to smoke and then close for a fast zook volley and/or Rifle Grenades. You want to catch him fast in 1 or 2 volleys before he can react. Keep in mind that if you see Flak Track then you know that he's set behind on fuel and you can use that to your advantage. Obers were covered well above; the cheaper Pack Howie is your friend. Obers are really expensive and slow to reinforce so the more you can kill with indirect fire and vehicles the more you come out ahead in the MP war. In: US Forces Strategies
Thread: Your favourite faction.11 Aug 2015, 17:45 PM Partial to Allies myself, nothing more satisfying that flanking around an MG42 or baiting an Axis heavy tank to it's doom. I do like to dabble in OKW though... OST is definitely last place for me. I see myself goings Brits once they release as they appear to be a better designed USF-like faction. In: Lobby
Thread: Vehicle Build Order10 Aug 2015, 20:35 PM Given OKW's reduced fuel income choosing the right vehicle to build with your limited fuel is obviously very important so my general question is; How do you best decide what to build given various situations? (I mostly play 1's and 2's) I haven't tried out OKW yet on the most recent patch and I'm curious as to how P4 vs. Panther decision should be made seeing as how they are pretty close in price. Is T2 -> P4 a good idea? Does your choice change if you open with Mechanized and opt for a Flak or Puma? (Flak doesn't seem that popular this patch compared to last but I can see the merits of a Puma given the current Stuart/M5 Rush meta). Thanks in advance~ In: OKW Strategies

Reduce Re-enforcement Cost to compensate (dat late game rifle bleed). Light Mortar in T0 would be very welcome as a means to add diversity to build orders and smoke as well In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Wow, Just Wow7 Aug 2015, 21:06 PM If a soviet player is spamming Maxims fast Flak AA Halftrack does wonders From experience you don't want to use the ISG or Pak Howie as a stationary support weapon counter due to their poor accuracy at range. I've found that they are more useful as a defensive counter where you park them where the main enemy thrust is and use the random suppression procs to turn engagements in your favor, but that's just me. EDIT: Stuka is also a great support weapon counter if he's being lame and just parking Maxims in buildings. In: OKW Strategies
