Thread: Relic FYI, UKF's emplacements are useless due to ISG's30 Sep 2015, 19:01 PM I felt like Brace was overnerfed in the preview Mod and was glad when they at least lowered the cooldown to what it is now but it still feels too long. Too many things require you to brace and any follow-up attacks are too effective. I'd like to see Brace have no cooldown but have decreasing effectiveness if used back-to-back or if an emplacement stays under sustained fire. Another option would be if Brace was more effective in allied territory- it would discourage you from abusing Bofors too much. Really Bofors + Brace was the only big problem with Brace I think... 17 Pounder is also too expensive fuel and popcap wise IMO - I hardly ever see them used in 1s and 2s... don't know about larger games. Relic toning down ISG wouldn't hurt either. Just changing mortar emplacements to be mobile with a somewhat significant set-up (dig in) and/or pack-up time would be a welcome change for me. They would be sturdier that Sov/Ost mortars when set-up and have better firepower but at the cost of time to set up and being vulnerable when not dug in. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: US mortar halftrack still sucks29 Sep 2015, 16:35 PM Every recent patch they seem to buff it, every time I make a point to try it out again and still get the same general "meh not worth the fuel" feeling. I do agree that the White Phos barrage is quite handy in certain situations but that of course requires you to spend more Muni just to make it useful. They should add suppression to its shells to make it's autoattack more useful and balance out the current ISG spam meta In: COH2 Balance

Bad because we are inundated with lots of ill thought out posts. I wouldn't mind the occasional ill-thought out post if half of the OPs didn't get hostile when you point out the flaw in the logic and respond with some version of "la la la "X" is definitely OP because it totally rekt me this one time" instead of accepting what is more often than not general consensus of the community. @ OP Its currently fine. Most off-maps can't be used inside your base territory and the ones that can require LOS (meaning you're aware of being spotted more likely than not) and/or provide cues with either Flares or Stuka Bomb Drop Noise. If you miss these then its a micro fail on your part and should be punished. If we're talking about OKW Forward HQ then that is part of the risk you assume and you should be aware that it'll be an off-map target. Arty and Off-Maps are hard counters for dug in positions like that and shouldn't be nerfed just because its effective at punishing you for a mistake. In: COH2 Balance

Of course it's strong and that's why it's wrong. Several AT guns is strong AT-wise but very vulnerable to rocket artillery and off-maps as Omega pointed out. They are also very slow and can't quickly respond to threats and if you flank them then that leaves the Croc as easy pickings for TDs. Just don't attack head on into a AT Gun wall and its fine. Lure the Croc away and then attack with infantry. Or just ignore that part of the map and attack elsewhere. They are fine and working as intended in their role as support AT just try considering other ways to attack them or work around them. In: COH2 Balance

The problem with weapon teams is that the allied ones don't teleport. This should be fixed immediately to prevent the grenade from wiping squads on a hard retreat. TLDR: Its not the grenade its the animations. Pretty much this. Is there even a reason why the Allied ones don't teleport? The Maxim recrew death loop is quite possibly one of the most annoying things to watch. I assume its just Relic taking its usual sweet time fixing known issues? Other than that I think its mostly okay now that they have reduced its impact damage. I think 15 more Muni for a faster throw animation is a pretty fair trade-off. I don't really want more copy-pasted units and abilities where incendiary grenades = molos In: COH2 Balance

What if in addition to the proposed changes that REs had their weapon slots reduced to 1 as well?
