To the OKW or Ostheer player, that is a resource at risk. So if you manage to cripple the Panther in that sort of manner it would be a loss of manpower and fuel into that unit. It also allows the chance to take out other units who are trying to ensure they keep the panther alive with their lives. Plus, mistakes tend to happen when in panick mode. In: COH2 Balance

Sure, they need to be placed on points, but thats where 90% of demos are being placed as well for close to twice the cost and you need to anticipate where opponent will stand. Bottom line is, axis DOES have something similar. I like your points. It's enough to say that Axis has options, it's just that most players don't use it or don't notice the button. The OKW Breakthrough Doctrine's Sturm Offizier needs a "Follow Squad" function so he isn't such a pain to micro about. British Officers in CoH1 had this function, so I can't imagine that it would be particularly difficult to implement. We do not want another British blob re-skinned as the OKW.
