Now they are too stubborn to fix the original mistake. The USF should have the weakest mortar in the game it shouldn't even be close to the OST. They already had the pak howie or M8 HMC for strong indirect. They should have given USF assault eng and WC51 to change up the opening build. GG Relic And you know what the best thing about it all is? The 61mm mortar is right there. It's spawnable in cheat mod. It's right fucking there, ready for use. In: COH2 Balance

It's obvious that you do not play the game often, because you'd notice that T-70 can stay relevant because it's the fastest, has self repair that removes engine damage and has very long range, and it can chase squads down. It also kills the luchs. AEC has treadbreaker and can generally kill other lights and bug mediums. Stuart can beat every other light vehicle in game, even Puma, because of it's ability, and has an ability that 100% engine crits any tank. If you would play the game you'd notice why Luchs camo isn't used very often, because it becomes slower than INFANTRY when it cloaks, it also has a detection radius of 20. It cannot chase squads down and needs to go point blank to wipe squads in two bursts as you say. If the Luchs encounters any armour, be it light or medium, it is dead, because it's also slow. But if you don't believe me, why don't we play? I obviously don't know what I'm talking about, I was just rank 99 with OKW before patch hit. Why don't you play a round against me and show me what you can do with Luchs? In: COH2 Balance

Not to say PAK40 is better than ZiS and stug3 is better than SU76. I agree, Soviet is underpowered, and we can clearly see that axis is op this patch. I think we should switch the shitty T-34-85 with the very good Ost Panzer IV, that way Soviets will have more chances to win again. In: COH2 Balance

Omega_Warrior bought up a pricing irregularity that, if not important, is still worth adjusting. Discussing whether the Recon Pass is under-priced or other recon abilities need to be adjusted is better than, for example, claiming a garrisoned 17-Pounder is a useful recon unit. I'd prefer the costs of recon abilities to be increased across the board (adding costs to command vehicle loiters and Valentine lock-down, higher spotting scope and tank commander costs, etc.). Because OKW is already the absolutely weakest faction, with overpriced, underperforming units. Curiously enough I never saw Omega Warrior complain about OKWs healing cost, or about the relative performance of OKW and other anti tank guns, or that a Maxim can a-move into an already set up MG 34 that is behind green cover and still win. It's simply an unnecessary change, and not all abilities are priced the same, even if they have similar or identical abilities. The ability isn't even used often, and if it was changed, nobody would care, but the point is that you don't put weight on an already lame mule. Also, some time ago there was a thread that compared the Valiant Assault ability with the Soviet For Mother Russia ability, which is, despite being priced the same, much much better than the OKW counterpart. Second, I really lost faith in the belief that units and abilities should behave according to the costs. There's so many exceptions now that the rule does not seem to be in effect anymore. It doesn't have much armor, but HP, you don't need high penetration, but rate of fire against it. To think almost one year people would learn that RoF>penetration vs low armor high health units.... The advantage the JT and Elefant have is they eliminate the croc from damaging your units through it's range. And also Stug and JT require about the same time to kill a Crocodile. But I agree, especially as OKW Stugs are choice #1. In: COH2 Balance

So you have to get the StuGs out preemptively. You have to have the counters out on the field before the British player decides to build a unit you already have the hard counters to. Plus the StuGs need to be already vet 1 at this time. (At least if they aren't the first engagement with a CroC will feed enough xp into the StuGs for it.) Problem is StuGs are pretty much food for every British tank that isn't a Churchill variant. In addition, the Croc can pretty much ignore a quick P4 or P5 and go about its business clearing team weapons and crews, even under fire since they simply can't deal enough damage or use Target Weak Point. The situation is a bit different versus Soviets and their KV8, namely because the stock soviet tanks can be handled by the gambit of Axis armor. A P4 or P5 can be cost effective in that situation since the KV8 doesn't have such a ridiculous health pool, and there's no speedy Cromwells, Fireflies with tulips, or Comets. Soviet armor doesn't have the kind of range, firepower, or shock value as the British, and their timing and availability are much more restricted. The problem I have with the croc is just it's high health. It can stay in the range of a P5 for ages, let alone a shitty p4. The best thing against it I find is a Jagdtiger. But all in all I say it's fine, even though I never liked the 'At gun wall + flametank' cheese. Shame OKW Hetzer sucks dick so much. In: COH2 Balance
