Then how do you balance a unit/faction if said unit is harder to get? There are effectively less units of that type on the field. It must be somewhat stronger.
Or if the developers wanted there to be less vehicles with the same power as your opponents vehicles, OKW would have to have an (intended) advantage in infantry to balance the faction.
Not defending the current performance of the units, but I think the fuel argument isn´t good.

Add to that no caches and you can figure out that OKW is currently designed around having less but more effective units on the field. Thus a higher survivability on the Stuka can be explained.

That´s wrong. The Stuka zu Fuß effectively costs even more fuel with the decreased income of OKW.
With about 2/3rd the fuel-income, the actual fuel cost is 85 for Kat vs 133 for Stuka. That´s an effective difference of 48 fuel.

First, income reduction is there to delay teching, not to show the power of a unit.
Second, even if we took the income reduction in the price, it would be 150 fuel for the Stuka (100 x 1.5). |
Why don't we reverse stat for Jackson, SU85 and JPZ4.
Max damage and Max pen at max range and the pen/damage reduce with the range. At close range it cannot reliably pen/damage. Or another than pen/damage (like high % chance to miss the target the closer it is) way but with the same finality, those units remains strong at max range and weak at close range.
So the Panther become a real tank hunter that need to hunt and come at close range and kill its target and tank destroyers have to stay at max range to be rewarded for the same effect. Here we could have a real micro strategy between 2 different types of unit.
That would mean that tank snare (At nade) would have to be really effective against armor. If not, that would mean that Panther could just rush the TD, destroy it, and back thx to lolblitz, in a more effective way that it can do now. |
Why would anyone ever make a StuG in t3 if the Jadgpanzer is in t1.

I think the distinction should be made, that if you want to be effective with a Jadgtiger or Sturmtiger you need to micro the unit. You sure can sit it somewhere and have it do nothing, but then it's just a waste of fuel.
And the Sturmtiger is for assaulting fortified positions and killing support weapons, not that you would know that...
What we are trying to put into this thick skull of yours is that these units does not require micro if you compare them to Allies Units.
