So when a bug like that occurs it looks extra weird It happens regularly on fausts. The faust looks like a guided missle and will track through smoke, even if the target pops smoke before the faust animation finishes. I think this has been the case for a long time and not really affected by the change in speed. In: COH2 Balance

Its range means that it should not be threatened by rear shots anyway. Rear armour of tanks was usually considered extra weight that makes suspension, gearbox, etc. wear faster so the less armour the less maintenance, or larger gun, or more ammo, or sth. I don't see a problem with rear armour reduction for ISU152. I agree, but think this should go for IS2, ISU, KV (all), KT, Tiger, Panther, Brumbar, Pershing, etc. You could look at it as a reward for flanking or punishment for being flanked. IRL, even tanks like the Tiger had 125mm armor in the front and only 25mm in the back. In: COH2 Balance

All three FF are visible for the first three seconds of the clip. The clip is on double speed, but if you watch the timer at the top, the time from when the salvage FF is first hit to when it becomes salvage is about seven seconds. It's 3-4 seconds in the video. Do you have a point, other than to imply that I'm trying to be misleading for some unknown reason, and to demonstrate your prowess in incorrectly counting to three? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: ISU152 vs Elefant - harder to kill an ISU15217 Apr 2020, 00:58 AM Jump back to quoted post16 Apr 2020, 17:00 PMSander93 The JT and Elefant kill medium tanks in about 18s (but 8,8s with a single faust thrown in) from the first shot and kill a 1040hp heavy in 26,4s from the first shot. They have pretty much double the AT DPM compared to the ISU-152, although this advantage does get neutered against 640hp vehicles because of the overkill damage that's required. The SU-85 needs about 45s to kill a Tiger I. The Elefant needs 26,4s to kill an IS-2. At vet 3 the SU-85 needs about 27,4s while the Elefant needs 15s. The Elefant has far superior DPM, although it mostly loses the advantage against 640hp vehicles because it needs to deal significant overkill damage and needs a third shot to deal the last 40 damage. But as I've said, in case both are supported by infantry who can deal even a single snare worth of damage, the Elefant can kill even medium vehicles almost twice as fast. Maybe 4v4's are just different, but here is a clip from a 4v4 with a JT and multiple Firefly's. I missed the video of the first shot from the JT, but the life expectancy of a Firefly is about 7 seconds unless they retreat. You'll see one go from Veteran to salvage in that amount of time, with some overkill. That's less time than the ISU takes to switch from HE TO AP. There is only one of the two that I would call "extremely capable" against armor. The OKW player on my right is probably making threads about how the KT is trash (because he should've been able to A-move it into the three Firefly's and Churchill) and the UKF player is probably creating balance threads on lowering the pop cap of Sextons (so he can have four of them watching his side of the map crumble). The game isn't in bad shape and these threads aren't necessary or helpful. The only suggestion that seemed good was the one to lower rear armor to 110 max, but that should be done globally to reward flanking. In: COH2 Balance

It has mediocre long range penetration and an extremely long reload on top of having slow gun traverse. This sums up the ISU's AT. Your first statement about the gross overstatement was spot on. I've not seen any replays where good Soviet players use it primarily on AT. Also, the long switch time from HE to AT means that it's going to be a spectator for the first part of any tank battle. I don't get what the fascination some people have with rear armor. Either of them usually are lost if they get flanked. I did vote (ISU seems like it has more of an impact on the game) but it still seams like a weird poll. I do agree that Ele or JT versus ISU seems pretty stale. Ele versus JT would be a more interesting poll. JT seems to have kept more of it's relevance than the Ele. The HE barrage on weapons teams seems okay. In: COH2 Balance

Panther should be a main battle tank with characteristic in between medium and heavy. Its armour should be lower. Because a 60 range MBT/TD that self-spots over 360 degrees won't be broken? It will be completely awesome for A-movers because it will stop to fire at max range at AT guns. A slight increase to moving accuracy would help. There has been times when I couldn't finish a IS2 because 4-5 shots would either miss or bounce. The armor nerf on the IS2 will help. Either the moving accuracy should go up or the IS2's target size should go up. In: COH2 Balance

Also, EITHER something special for the ML/20 another another round/an ability or leIF needs to lose Counter Barrage. Statistically, they are almost exactly the same gun (once ML/20 has 9 shots), just leIF has serious icing on top. I agree that the Sexton is worse and the Priest is similar to the LEFH, but not sure I like the arty buffs of the last patch, and relatively sure that I don't want more arty in a game. I've been seeing games where teams will have 5-7 howitzers on the field. They're really not that fun. Units randomly disappear. Many games feel like Sittard Summer all over again. I think I've won most of them, but even the wins aren't that fun. I lost my last game last night due to arty randomly wiping squads and repair engineers well behind the front lines. If they were to take counter-battery away from the LEFH, then I'd like to see them give it smoke. I did some heat-to-head testing of the LEFH versus ML20. The LEFH wins most of the time even without counter-battery. The difference wasn't that great though and I didn't care enough about it to ask for any buffs. In: COH2 Balance

There was a 30% win rate gap between Axis and Allies in some game modes at that point. Now, we don't need data, we have to roll back the patch immediately based on a couple people's opinion and one flawed video. It was also interesting to hear how the AEC is so OP, especially when nothing on it was changed in this patch. Plus, somehow a 0.05 RA and 0.15 MA buff has transformed UKF from a dumpster fire to OP. Were I a betting person, I'd bet that the only difference this will make is that Helping Hans will go a little further in this tournament, maybe one more round, but the winners will be the same players playing the same factions they played before the patch. In reality, Relic and the Balance team will likely watch the results of actual competitive games and issue a mini balance patch, like they've done in the past, if something is causing a problem.
