That's funny cause I never got any with Thompsons. However I used that ability only about 2-5 times and made sure not to use it ever again.
Sorry but you're wrong on this one. I used the ability a bunch of times. It could drop with Thompsons, 1919's or bazookas, great for troll games. |
Do such maps change their structure when maxims are used ?
No, but players can't A-move maxims like they could before, and flanking a MG, particularly a maxim with the narrow arc, is much easier than trying to flank a JT with a spotter.
Also, OKW does get free smoke on the ISG, which is the only reason to ever get one in the current patch. |
I always said L2flank heavy TDs in old patch, but people said that wasn't possible. How did flanking become possible in 1 patch?
...and you were always wrong when it came to team games. Long narrow maps like Red Ball plus commanders with Panzerfusiliers & JT or spotting scopes & Elefant made flanking difficult on those maps.

This is only one data point but:
100k damage in an hour from what everyone is calling a trash faction.
Command Panther and volks still okay.
Raketen is garbage. Comets could easily dive in, launch grenade, wipe Raketen. Jacksons could drive by and just ignore. Short range of Raketen means that if Allied player sends any infantry along with tanks, the Raketen gets to take only one or two shots before retreating.
|
And nobody will see raketen ever since. It's just Soviet ver2, instead of Zig and M42 we have pak and raketen.
Honestly, have you ever encountered m42? Below panzer, it work barely. And anything above that, it's useless. I'd rather having current raketen than another m42 clone
Or the coh1 pak38 clone. The gun does not have much damage or penetration, and relies to its first (three) shots out of ambush.
And while balancing gun, please remove camouflage while moving, I really hate stealth capping from raketen.
You say this like it's a bad thing. Nobody would miss the Raketen. It belongs in some BS commander like Overwatch. I'd like a regular Pak. The short range of the Raketen really makes it get wiped a lot in larger team games, much more than any 60-range AT gun.
COH1 had a mechanic that didn't allow capping by cloaked units. COH2 could probably implement the same.
Raketens shouldn't being able to move in open ground while cloaked. It allows the mechanic of sneaking two around and occasionally being able to snipe vehicles up to a Sherman, while always being able to retreat and not really risking anything. |
MG42 still feels like the gold standard.
50 cal seems almost as good, just not as wide of an arc
DBP Maxim seems okay, but not in same league as other two
MG32 fires rubber bullets as ever, suppresses okay but would be nice if it did some damage |

"Le.IG 18
The Le.IG is being made to require more micro to use at its full potential, but will now be more readily available and will now allow OKW players to be aggressive against support heavy builds through the deployment of smoke.
...
Auto-fire range from 100 to 80"
same as Ostheer/Soviet mortar.
What is your point? The pack howie has an autofire range of 80 also, and the USF mortar, which costs about the same as the Ost mortar, has an autofire range of only 60. |
...
I don't want to call out specific people, but it isn't hard to see bias....
Yes, it isn't. Your player card, specifically the number of games played of each faction, shows yours.
It looked like the balance team tried much harder to be balanced in this last patch. The previous one was a wish list of every Allied nerf that Axis-only players wanted. Another patch like the last one would have been the end of community balancing.
As for people ignoring your posts, they mostly ignore everyone who isn't top-30, you included. |
ITS A FKN FIELD GUN (AKA Artillery) WHY THE F DID THEY NERF IT TO MORTAR STATUS!! AAARRGGGHH!!!
I take back what I wrote earlier. After using it several more times, it seems really underwhelming. When it can fire directly on something, it seems sort of okay but most of the time it seems as bad as the Soviet marshmallow lobber. |
