Thread: King Tiger 10 Nov 2015, 01:38 AM i really don't see the issues with the VI B. it's got 45 range and is good against all targets. the only thing that causes it issues is TDs on open maps and that can be mitigated by support rather easily, particularly in team games. if you over extend it and get it killed that's your issue, not the tank's issue. OKH has the V, the pak, and the stug. The sherman HE is devastating, but it's pretty much a glass cannon at the moment. If it's going to have a larger size might as well give it more HP. all baseline mediums have 640hp, that's a big part of what makes them mediums. what sets them apart is the weapon stats, the armour, the size (although relic is really inconsistent with size) and to some extent the speed stats. the only mediums that have more than 640hp are the V, the comet, the t34/85, and the sherman dozer and all of those cost significantly more then the baseline mids In: COH2 Balance
Thread: General-Purpose Mines Destroying Engines8 Nov 2015, 02:20 AM didn't realize they could destroy the engine but i really don't think they should. 30mun mines are already the best and heavy engine damage/engine destroyed is one of the most annoying crits; it pisses me off every time one of my tanks gets it. Thread: ISU-152 feels really weak8 Nov 2015, 02:15 AM used it some more. it's fine but unlike most heavies it needs support to prevent it from getting rushed and circled. certainly a very strong tank. if you're fighting mostly infantry, leave it on HE; if you're fighting mostly tanks, leave it on AP. HE will do some crew stuns against tanks and a lot of damage to infantry (when it hits) and AP will do a lot of damage to tanks and occasionally wipe infantry squads (less often then HE but still enough to be noticeable, particularly if the infantry are close to the tank). also, SU-85s are pretty much the optimal support unit as they can spot for it and they help with tank rushes.
