Had this happen in a game today where I was building a cache and the computer (a player dropped) divebombed it and decaped the point but didn't stop the cache construction.

PTRSs are RNG machines, particularly on conscripts. |
Check the veterancy guide
i can't be bothered (i don't really care what the vet5 bonus is) and i have no idea how accurate it is. i'm not contesting what you say one way or the other though.
OKW has the same starting manpower as other factions I thought. Can anyone confirm/deny that? They have a more expensive unit and therefore less manpower so in total everyone is equal?
they have the same income and the same starting amount (500 iirc), minus the cost of their starting unit (spios) like every other faction.

I might need to check OKH, it's definitely 4 for Soviets, and those are way off-meta because of the lack of call ins:
Reserve
Shock
Combined Arms
Guard Rifle Combined
And the two Common non-1941:
Shock Rifle
Guard Motor
I would need to check because I believe which ones it is varies from mission to mission, but it could be all 5 from:
Infantry, Mechanised, Festung Armour, Festung Support, Blitzkrieg
And one that is definitely non-1941 is:
Jaeger Armour
i thought originally it was just three, at least for OKH, and then they unlocked all of them. there was/is a command IV/spotting scope one, the stuka smoke/250 one, and another which i don't remember. |
Don't do math to early in the morning kids
Regardless, I don't think the Vet 5 JPIV is much a problem.
i think what he's saying is that it does 250% (2.5*) at vet5. someone would have to look in the files to see whether it's 1.5x, 2.5x, or x+1.5x |
Something that people tend to forget, or maybe have not realised, is that some (4 each) of the Core Commanders for the vanilla factions are also designed to be used in 1941 TOW.
The compromises involved in that design objective tend to mean that they aren't that hot in the 1944-45 setting of automatch.
If you take those out of the equation, there is a lot less redundant overlap; and I suspect that Relic have learnt from that and we will no longer see Commanders designed to do dual duty like that.
pretty sure it's three but point taken. with that said, none of those commanders are actually bad, at least for OKH. they're not amazing either but one of them is the only other commander with stuka smoke and has the halftrack callin, which is at least fun. |
callin meta for tank traps |
having thought about this some more, my main issue is that they have such a widely (for something relic does) publicized alpha and yet they won't release any information about what's actually going on in it even though a large portion of the community is involved in it. if they don't want to talk about it they shouldn't publicly advertise it (and with such excitement!) nor make it as big as it is. and despite it's size it's apparently still hard to find games in the alpha. PoE has a beta for their newest expansion going on right now and while it's a close beta there's no NDA involved. i don't really care whether or not i'm in the CoH2 alpha, i know i'll get to play the content in a couple of months and i have other things i can do until then, but i want to know what's going on in it; particularly wtf is being alpha "tested" (i want to know what the brit faction looks like and any other significant changes they've made, like the whole "snares don't snare above a certain hp%". |
And wtf are you still doing here if the game/Relic sucks so much????
