If Ost got a non-upgunned Puma in T3 for the price of a T70 it would make worlds of difference. I feel like the Ostwind is supposed to kinda fill this role but it just doesn't.
Because somehow ostwind in vCoH could snipe while stationary and in CoH2 it would always miss and hit the ground
Motorcycle for scouting (ACTUAL scout unit, pioneer is supposed to be an engineer for god sake, not a scouter)
the anti-inf early puma (not anti tank puma) where you can actually punish people for not teching at all and not preparing any AT and only keep spamming infantry (which is similar to the point of Pz II)
And nebelwerfers to counter mortars and static emplacements (it burns the shit out of brit emplacement in vCoH)
It would instantly solve the weakness Ostheer has.
I'm just saying it's possible. Not that it's easy to do. I don't think the goliath is supposed to be a reliable counter to emplacements, it's just that before the goliath did so little damage it was worthless even if you did pull it off.
Everything is possible if your opponent is blind and deaf and retarded.
Not really. I've been experimenting with Goliaths the past week and they're extremely fragile to small arms, like melting fragile. You really have to have them in position and ready to blow or else you'll probably just waste 100 muni if you try to move them at the last moment more than a few feet. They're also extremely clumsy and slow and don't get road speed bonuses making a rush on an emplacement kinda a joke. If you ever get a Goliath close to a Bofors the other player should leave just for allowing that to even happen. Hell you can't even get a P4 close to a Bofors without taking serious damage.
Bofors can penetrate a heavy tank like Panther frontally.
And Goliath engine noise is just a huge give away to anyone who isn't deaf.
bofors is the only one that can defend it's self. You can drive right up to the mortar and at emplacement as long as no infantry get in your way.
Still how are you gonna drive up to a well-placed mortar which is placed behind the front line (as long as the enemy is not retarded)? and remain undetected?
Honestly, I've never had this problem. A lot of people seem to have, but my vehicles always seem to do exactly what I want. It's the MGs that respond horribly for me.
I have my tank decided to drive right into a house, drive around a fricking stone on a straight flat road or get stuck on a tree like a cat.
while my friend's MG will decide to reload everytime he deploys it and sometimes the arc is not as exact as he ordered it (he claims to be)
CoH1 was a great game, but it had flaws. CoH2 improved on CoH1 in arguably every way. I don't want to go back to a game with no reverse button, no true-sight, no vaulting, etc.
but...but...the fucking tank decides to turn 180 degrees and dance around a tree when it reverses!
