Wc51 changes are heavenly.

The m3 comes out at just the right time, health of it might need a slight buff to make it hold up better.

Raid tactics is a nice idea.

Mortar HT is fits well and makes you choose AT/zooks or good mobile mortar.

Sherman bulldozer is a good upgrade, might wanna swap out health for armor. Could be interesting.

76 Sherman Is a good idea, unit seemed to miss a lot at close range and also didn't feel as effective Vs infantry in comparison to ez8 gun. Not sure if intended

The problem with this call in is
A: The cost
B: The timing
C: The durability

All of these could be intermingled to make the callin more viable but it all comes down to timing of the unit. The fact that its a 4cp callin makes it rather late to the part, coming maybe 1min before counters hit the field. Coupled with this is the durability of the M3 and the ass engineers. The M3s health is fairly low, 2 panzerfausts wipe the unit and the possibility to lose the squad inside is still fairly high. The assult engeers themselves are already fairly squish and the grease gun itself requires that you get close to buildings/infintray to even make use of them. With that and the low health of the M3 means the unit is practically useless.

The call in itself is 540~ MP, being USF and floating MP above 300+ is rather hard especially early- mid game where this call in would excel in.

All in all, the unit simply isn't placed well and has fallen out of the balance meta and should be re-adjusted to fit.

While most will argue that USF is OPopie The faction bleeds rather hard and has a rather odd tech pacing in comparison to other factions. While I find the main underlying cause of the bleed is due to the STGs on volks, in other match ups the USF riflemen squad seems to drop its 5th man rather fast reducing its overall DPS rather quickly without really balancing out. sure, you can make it up with nades maybe but generally the matchup is rather a huge MP sink.

>Nade tech: while USF nades are potent AF vs squads in green cover, building clearing, the costs of the nades, and the cost of the tech, often makes it hard to fit into the tech pacing of the game outside of 1v1. To counter the early armor, you must rush t2 in 2v2s+ or risk early armor getting the best of you. The lack of fuel means you cannot get nade tech, and the cost of 30 muni nades + tech means that you are behind in both tech and muni for mines making it hard to counter light vehicles.

The major tech rolls out late where a p4 making it hard to get an M4 advantage and now with the DBP buff to p4 makes the unit fit rather oddly into the tech.


USF needs something and if you must nerf others to make the faction play more A symmetrical so be it but as its stands USF requires the most micro, most cheese, and the most talent and map awareness to get it to work in coh2 past 1v1s



Anything else you guys can add? I mean I could go on for days about the lack of building clears (flamethrowers) or lack of scout cars (wc51) in base tech to help flank but you get the gist.


Dont take my ideas as "this needs to happen" but they are issues surely and at least the small mine changes are a step in the right direction.

USF needs a better building clearer or something to help clear buildings/Early bunkers.

Mortar over shadowed in 2v2+ by ost mortar and simply wont hit anything, Mortar HT requires CP and commander, Pak comes out late and pop cap heavy.

I think USF for being so early game heavy they really lack early game tool wise to even get out of the gate in a game larger than a 1v1.
A buff to wc51 would be a nice mix up to see as well as a buff to maybe the barrage on the mortar or cost reduction on nade tech/ability cost.



I mean think about it now, 30 muni for nade alone. So to clear an MG in a building, you need smoke (15 muni) so throw to cover your advance (most of the time) and you might need an extra nade to clear the bulding after the first nadem and then you also need to look at the idea that you need an investment of 3 squads to clear one. Its not a good match up for USF.

*edit* a cost reduction to major might be a nice change so the Sherman comes out before a panther in 2v2+ as well.

I'd honestly take a pop cap reduction for the 17 pdnr. The fact that the pak 43 can shoot through buildings so ez is still really an issue. The changes to the range on the jagtiger should allow for more 17 pndrs to be built at least.
