Why will an Su 100 be OP, the axis has the JT, KT and Ferdi, while the sovjets are stuck with the poor Su-85 and call in mayhems. Su-100 is just as justified as a KT, Panther and the super heavy call in TDs.
It is fair and sqaure that they get access to That and elite non doctrinal infantry. In my opinion, the whole sovjet faction needs a major redesign.
Because balance cannot be done unit A vs unit B. But rather the effect of unit A in army A vs army B.
A unit that is usaually fine in the axis armies could be very OP if placed in allied hands and vice-versa. Just because how diffrent the supporting units are and the abilites of the units that they face.
thats assuming they go counterattack doc in the first place. one shell cannot hit both the pak and the truck, so your sturms can just repair which ever was hit inbetween barrages. sturms have the highest repair rate in the game, and have an even higher repair rate with the minesweeper upgrade.
katyushas actually have horrible accuracy, and even if you start losing models u can just reinforce since its next to the medic truck. also you should get a stuka most games, it helps to deal with enemy weapon teams and b4s too.
B-4 one-shots PAK-43, but two shots HQs. I was under the impression you would place them next to eachother so both would be in the B-4s AoE. A slight miss and the PaKis still completely destroyed. Why have a strategy that can be so easily hardcounterd? Like i said it is effective against a strat that focuses on a lot of tanks, like windustry. but it is worthless against anything that has either artillery or a heavy off-map.
So not good enough for a general strategy in my mind.
Seeing a Sturm flanking my maxim, if I hit retreat the moment they come out of the fog, there is a good chance the maxim will still be wiped. Also had it happen to cons.
I seriously thought no retreat was a specific commander, not something all soviet squads did native.
Napalm your entire argument that the allies are somehow weaker yet the soviets win the most in 1 vs 1 so your arguments are pretty much invalid.
Which is obvious in the win ratio he posted in the OP. The question being how can we fix so that Win ratios goes up for allies in teamgames without making allies win more of the games in 1v1. Preferably so they win a bit less in that game mode.
Taking ideas from a diffrent game, namley the WarGame series. In that game tanks are very effective, if you know how to use them. On the other hand they are a waste in the wrong hands.
This is in my mind made a by the fact that they are: weak up close, and have multiple counters that aren't tanks, being taken out with some ease by infantry in heavy cover. On the other hand in that game infantry caught out in the open by tanks is dead.
So maybe the fix would be to make AT infantry more potent and give AT guns a longer range. Forcing the tanks to use tactics and mobility to get to a point where they can be used efficently. Maybe doing something to change how non-vehicle AT handles cover. Say a Zis-gun out in the open would be quite easily taken out by a P-iv but on the other hand a Zis-gun in good position would win against a PzIV.
#B4lyfe. German heavies are no problem at all. At 3 vet it will oneshot Jagdtigers if you get a good hit. PB for 4v4 is 2 B-4 doing 135 and 84 kills. PB in 2v2 it is one B-4 getting 87 kill.
Having problem with blobs of Nazi infantry, or Nazi tank spills vodka?
Call +7-499-203-Gaubitza and we divide to more manageable pieces, order now.
Only single shot you say? No worries comrade, soviet artillery only needs single shot.
Lack of range? This is propaganda by enemy. Range is not problem with OKW trucks.
Lack of aim? For only the cost of single rifledivison we can get Yuri the aimer to be sober for 1 minutes, making perfect aim. After that he will celebrate victory or miss with vodka. Please pay more to get him sober.
Ok hope you all have gotten that out of your system. I'm not talking about what guns did or didn't do IRL.
But that the SU-100, being an upgraded SU-85 AS THE GAME GOES, would need to have an increased penetration, dmg and armour compared to the SU-85.
Quite a lot actually or it would just be a slightly better SU-85 without the need for T-4. Having it just slightly better would just mean SU-85s never get built.
Having it alot better would mean German heavies, which is 70% of the German faction would be effectively nullified. This isn't a good approach.
Disclaimer this is based on teamgames.
In my mind the Allies already have more than enough dedicated AT, the problem being the Germans have so much better infantry that they can quite easily destroy most of that AT with inf, and the few things the allies can do against it is semi-static MGs or dedicated AI vehicles that can be taken out with little trouble by German infantry or their long-range AT platforms, the allied MGs will get wrecked by artillery or simply overrun.
After that the ger infantry moves in and destroys or damages alot of the allied AT. After that there is little problem for the German heavies to roll in.
Giving the allies a new and improved infantry unit would hopefully negate this problem. That would mean the Ger infantry needs to push already from the get go with their tanks, meaning we would get a situation where we see large battles of composed armies slugging it out.
Instead of having what I see alot of now. That is pushes of german infantry doing their best to knock out some AT before retreating because of Katyusha or some other artillery barrage. When enough AT has been knocked, roll in with tanks.
Hence why I feel there is a need for some more soviet AI infantry rather than AT infantry. That would just make them play more like Germans and would keep the meta more or less the same, I feel we need to mix it up.
In order to get it as an upgraded Su-85, which is what it is, its range and DMG output would have to be increased comparative to the SU-85. and that would mess alot with the balance.
My vote is on Naval Infantry.
SU-100 would do to Panthers what the Jagdtiger does to T-34-85s. Funny at first but horribly OP. What does the German have as a hope for winning if all their heavies are smashed instantly?
Naval Infantry could be a long-range infantry unit upgradable with shortrange PPS's or something else. Would fit the faction, be an intresting unit, add something to meta and not mess up balance.
Tough I have to agree the idea of adding a Zampolit or Komsomol member as a person with somekind of aura intrigues me.
