Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you think that Pershing should be avaliable with more commanders? It's only one commander at the moment.

It already is competitive. It´s not as easy to use as the other 230+ tanks but it´s absolutly deadly in the right hands. Only thing holding is back is actually the doctrine it is in.

And whats so bad about this doctrine outside of Combined Arms? Most doctrines have one trash ability, so it doesnt stand out, and other four abilities are good (except pershing which has too low HP).
Simply comparing pershing to is2 shows how bad it is, speed doesnt make up for ridiculously low stats.

The gun does.
If you're trying to use it as a tank destroyer, it's going to be a disappointment. The Pershing's strength is its incredible anti-infantry firepower. As an anti-tank vehicle, it's not that much better than an E8 or a Comet.
