More specifically, they changed out the SU-76/M's old barrage for a clone of the ZiS gun's barrage. The ZiS gun one costs munitions but is more powerful.

Actually the AOE/scatter are identical at vet 0. At vet 2 SU-76 get more damage and the AOE becomes better.

Since i want possitive feedbacks even in those treads where OP is just whining, I can drop an idea or two about panzer tactician smoke.
The ability itself is focused of better tank fighs for OST.

In the game, when you press smoke on tanks, make it two or three little blobs of smoke a few meters in front of the tank only, that way you block effectively line of sight on a bad tank clash. This way it demands a little more skill to use.
Or make it pop automatically when the tank health drops to 50% not before, not after. this way tanks become more a defensive tool, or forces the player to use them that way.

But is guess "flank speed", "step on it", "war speed" and other similar abilities...should work both forward and backwards.

I'm not sure the engine supports that. Else tank reverse would be slower than forward.

It's been asked 5 years ago during beta/release and i think the answer was the engine can't handle it.
