Since Friday Coh2 is on a new server.

I guess for alot of people the problem got solved.

If you vote for: Still same lags like before and that often, pls let a thread here, so we can see which Country and which SteamID etc

UPDATE

Hey guys,

So, our web team deployed a new battle server yesterday which has the potential to resolve the issue. Apparently, players who have reconnected to COH2 in the last 10 hours or so, should be connecting via this new server.

We will be monitoring the situation today, but If you have experienced a recent improvement since logging back on, let us know here.

Personally lag is minimal, however once in a while there is stutter, I doubt it's on my end for two reasons (rig: 1080ti 8700k 32gb 3200mhz ram) and when it does happened my 2s partner also get it at the at the same time.

Apart from that everything feels better.

I wonder if this just means their server got slower after recent OS patches and so they decided to move to a faster one as a solution. If so, then every other big sale or patch is going to provide same effect.

Ok, so here's how it usually goes down for me: The game starts out "fine" with OKAY-isch latency, not ideal but okay. Then after a while there's a small stutter, and after that initial stutter the latency gets worse, like 1-2 seconds. I'm from Sweden, steam ID can be seen below.

I had a bunch of matches that were absolutely fine. Then I got one that had about 2 seconds of lag consistently. I could barely retreat my units at the best of times.

Downtime: COH1 and COH2 - Tuesday, January the 23rd - 2 PM PST/ 5 PM ET/ 10 PM BST - Server downtime approximately 30 minutes.

Additional: Undertaking further server updates in response to issues reported by users over the last week.

After the second server maintenance the command lag "delay" has been fixed, getting the usual 1 second delay for being in Oceanic region. But I'm still getting the lag spikes that last between 3 - 4 seconds long. Started getting these lag spikes from after the first server maintenance fix. Im not the only one who has experience these lag spikes. FeelsBadMan

I know its not a hardware problem as I know people with decent rigs have these same lag spikes and sometimes we would get these lag spikes at the same time which was even more strange. Maybe the lag spikes are a region problem but highly unlikely cause already have 1 sec delay for giving units commands due to region.

Nope, I'm still having up to a second of latency :(. The stuttering is gone done, or at least most of it.

Nope, the input lag when issuing commands is still there, around 2 seconds. Happens only in online games with other players, playing only with AI locally has no input lag.

2v2 for me close to dead, when game begin all are fine, but after 5 min, begins laaaaaaags and fps drop, also deley.

The lag seems to have gotten worse since the latest server maintenance. The command delay has come back for me, around 1-1.5 secs, this makes playing 1v1 incredibility hard for me. Pls look into the issue Relic and come up with a fix.

I don't think the game is meant to stutter at all, but this game isn't optimized, maybe intended feature Kappa

My units live and die by the lag!


Does anyone noticed how some units keep forgetting they are retreating at the moment and just stop?

This game servers does not treat me well! I still have input delays of 3-4 seconds! Maybe it's because I am from South Africa , I am feeling the rage help!!:hansRAGE:

I've definitely noticed more delay and semi continual connection lost after these recent changes when i've never had these issues in the past.
